Superb in the last 1/4. The kid has the talent. Will be a ripper in another season or two.
His 4th quarter was immense. Surely will have won even his harshest critics over. Really hope he can develop into an elite footballer.

I wouldn't say it was all one way in the first 3 quarters for him. There was a passage of pressure work where it was contested in the back pocket and he just made repeated efforts to force it out way and broke out the pack to find I think Selwood by foot. Created a goal early that kept us in it.
But yeah I know what you mean. He was inconsistent. I think he'll find that consistency once he hits 50 games

I don't think he will be a spud. I just dont think he will be 'the next Dangerfield but with better kicking'.

Holmes was second BOG according to the official player ratings which factors in āintercepts, spoils, kicking to a contest, smothers, chasing, corralling and many other 'one-percenters'ā as well as possessions, goals etc.
Clearly the system is not perfect - nobody thinks Pendlebury was BOG or that Cameron wasnāt in the 10 best players on the ground!!! - but shows Holmes did a lot right in a big game.
