Loyalty has nothing to do with it , what gun player has Gold Coast picked up other than the draft ,it’s Armageddon.

Should have been the Southport Sharks , would have had money , players & history .

If you can’t see the difference in the 2, I don’t think you should be commenting. Max is a better player by a fair margin. If there were any other quality key position players in this draft, Ben may not have even been picked in top 10. Very good player, don’t get me wrong, but easily behind Max.
Max did the ACL from a contact injury, not his body failing. He will recover well and be a much better player over a career. Many experts including Shifter Sheehan had him as the best player in the draft

Just remember that most young guys will take time to adjust to AFL level and wont step in and be regulars in their first season- some do, most dont.

Would Blues take Lukosius ahead of Walsh
Would Blues take one of the King boys or Izak Rankine. It’s difficult because it’s a strong first round. Perfect world Blues would have first 4 selections in the draft and Walsh, Rankine and King boys would be at Carlton.

For me personally
1 Walsh
2 Ben King
3 Max King
4 Izak Rankine

and not easy to pick the order at all

Do you think Suns wouldn’t be taking extra care and asking all the right question to make sure they are recruiting the right draftees to build a club around, all clubs need ask the tough questions. Blues have plenty WA players on the list, go home factor is too great now, all clubs surely asking the question to every draftee.

Ben and Max again seem like the kind of boys that will play for whichever team that drafts them. If Ben was drafted to Bulldogs, would he ask for a trade because it’s not St Kilda?

GC took a huge risk drafting Ben King and they know it, hence the reason they are already wanting to discuss extending all the draftee’s contracts when they have been there for less than two minutes.

I would think any manager worth their salt, and certainly Ben’s family who were obviously disappointed he got picked interstate, would under no circumstances even consider an extension right now.

Before I leave, elaborate on that. Why is Walsh not the best player in the draft? Why does Sos think he is and other recruiters don’t? Only reason I ask is because I have seen much of any of the draftee, mainly highlights.

Did not hear one expert rate Ben ahead of Max. Not one.

Max was highly tipped to go #1 if he hadn't done his ACL. Ben was only ever tipped to go top 10.

Max is the goal kicking Alpha Dog. He is the one. His ACL will heal (just about already has).

We will get Ben anyway, you can virtually guarantee it. The thinking of Gold Coast is that if they take a couple of Adelaide mates this will help them stay and play together. Two kids that share a home city. Well if that's the logic then surely Ben will want to play with the kid he shared a womb with!

Yep, he'll be coming, it's just a question of when.

And if Gold Coast continue to be a basket case, then I can see it happening after just 2 years.

i know you love footy gillo, but coming in here proclaiming the player an opposition club drafted is better than king, the player our club drafted, isn't the smartest move.

its like going to church and telling everyone god is made up. you may be right (i mean who knows), but its incredibly offensive to do that.

btw i really rate walsh, but lets be honest if the draft was held round 1 of the tac cup this year, king would have been the name carlton called out!
