He is projected to return at the end of June (before our clash with St Kilda) but with those type of injuries, I tend to think they will go the Conservative approach and wait a couple more weeks.

Probably back a week or two after the Saints game I would guess.

So the umpires make the opposition defender chop a player's arm, or obstruct a run, or commit a foul?

Basic people like yourself tend to see a freekick as simply umpires deciding at will.

King is taller than any key back and when he jumps at the ball, no one can get to him... you're only hope to stopping him is to commit the foul and hope the freekick doesn't get paid.

But I cannot wait for the tallest man alive to start playing for the Tigers, hopefully arrives from Hawaii in the next month or so. Is he going to make a difference to our ailing free kick tally or what. . Let’s see, 12 free kicks per 3cm per 10 matches, that will be half our free kick deficit repaired in the final 10 matches of season 2022. Wonder if he can bring one of his mates with him, get the whole thing squared away.

He's only 15th in the league for marks on the lead (well below other key forwards that are high in the Coleman) but 1st for contested marks.

Once he starts to figure that out + puts on body size he's going to be scary.

Agreed. Part of that is our midfield too - we need to stop landing kicks on his head when he's getting double or triple teamed.

As a saints supporter I obviously want us to have the best chance at winning, but I'd love to see McKay and Curnow up 1 end with King up the other. As long as Jack Steele is back by then as well

He did his ACL in his draft year but hasn't had any issues since.

I doubt he will ever want to become too big because he won't want to lose his speed and his jump but another 5kg of muscle honed over a few more pre-seasons should do the trick.
