Rioli is now 1.5 after the Collingwood game. below both King and Higgins.So there you go. Max has had 7 chances to get ahead on average goals and has not been able to do so. Maurice Jnr seized his single chance to get ahead of Max for average goals with both hands. And now Saints fans try to minimise a guy who averages more goals per game than their so called elite full forward. And their much celebrated cast off small forwards…..
Average goals per game 2022, rounded down because everybody knows you cannot score 0.8 of a goal:
3.0 19yo 3 game veteran Maurice Rioli Jnr, with no main board threads started about him.
2.0 21yo “has arrived” Max King with a highly embarrassing, nauseating main board thread about him.
2.0 23yo “the one that got away ii” Jack Higgins with a ludicrous main board thread about him.
0.0 25 yo “one that got away, the prequel” Dan Butler with a preposterous main board thread about him.
If young Maurice was a Saint it would be frightening the amount of main board threads about him. But because he is an unassuming player from a quiet humble club in Richmond, not a single thread, no matter how justified.

We got pumped in a preliminary final because we had no way of stopping Kennedy and Darling.
So we went out and got the best full back in the AFL, and hammered everyone in our next finals series. For what May gave us he's worth pick 6, pick 4, and some change.
Mental to think otherwise, absolutely mental.

Best full back in the AFL, bahahahahah the guy spent the first few years at your club getting pissed. Almost every top team has a backman that could do May’s job right now just as well or even better. He did not win you a flag at all your midfield did.

I never mentioned that it was wrong to trade pick 6 for May especially when you had Weideman (who could of been anything).
The comment had more to do with why danster had the preference of Ben over Max.

Anyway, Maurice got sick of getting calico poisoning so thought he’d get a hat-trick of goal assists this week….about as many as Max has for the season.

Doesn’t help when May takes his eyes off the ball and barrels into him. Ridiculous he’s allowed to get away with it.
Once we learn to put it on his chest on a lead he will kick 100 goals.

To be fair, May is in his prime and King isn’t. King still kicking 2 is impressive with the ball delivery he was getting.

I don't disagree. But the Saints supporters pre-game need to be held accountable. Saying that May won't handle King because he's 9cm shorter etc. Completely disrespecting the AA full back and the best full back in the game. This is what you get. Karma.
May completely owned King, as he did the last time. A big lesson for Saints fans to not let their bias get in the way of the truth.

Your not serious surely. Mays sole role was to impede Kings attack on the ball. May was incredibly lucky not to concede 5-6 frees against.

King is 21 while May is 30
