I don’t get this argument, it has no baring on who’d be a better player. Hannebery got rising star in 2010 over Dusty, over his career he hasn’t turned out as good.
It's not an argument just a fact. If you consider Lynch to be the best Key Forward in the comp then if they take similar trajectories then King is going to be a better key forward than Lynch at the same age. I will be content that King may not be elite yet but he will be the best forward of the last 20 years.

Jack Hayes is a bigger loss than talked about. He was no star but he was a strong mature body with plenty of upside.
Mason Wood is no key forward and never has been. This just allows defenders to roll off and help out on King who is now double teamed.

I am not even sure you can rely on Ryder and Marshall to remain healthy for the whole year but if they can, their issues are somewhat resolved but they really need a genuine KPP to play alongside King at this moment in time.

I do think in time Sharman could be that 2nd key forward alongside King, probably just needs another offseason or two in the afl system to mature physically. Saints site has him listed at only 86kg.

Mason Wood has played all year on the wing

Marshall/Ryder, Membrey and now Sharman are Kings support key forwards at the moment, not Wood

Or you know he won’t and become Hannebery 2.0

Well, we all can't have a superstar that's allowed to elbow guys in the head and get away with. I don't know how many times he has been allowed to break the rules without be punished.

You have found an absolute jet but is he any better than Ben?
can someone confirm from juniors.

They played different position. Max Key Forward and Ben Key Back until Max did his ACL when Ben was played forward.

Buddy is the best forward of the last 20 years.

He hasn't completely vanished, I believe he is in Germany!

I’m gonna be honest, when I referenced Hannebery I thought he still played for the Swans. I completely forgot you got him [emoji23]

I was thinking why are these guys getting so defensive about him? Lol.

Fair enough! I don't know whether to be defensive or disappointed with Hannebery, haven't seen enough of him to form a solid opinion lol

We're not defensive about Hannebury. You'd be hard pressed to find a single Saints fan that thinks the deal to get him was worth it. He's been a liability and we should never have signed him.

Like you didn't know, you also must think Butler and Higgins still play for you.

Well yeah it can be confusing. You and Gold Coast are essentially the Richmond VFL teams at this point, why you keep poaching our reject players I have no idea.

Not like Richmond, who outbid us for Biggie Nyuon and also recruit Matty Parker. One was a academy player and the other played for the Saints.
And when talking about Gold Coast, Lynch, Prestia and Caddy all come to mind. GC only have Chol and Ellis playing from the Tigers.

We are actually successful though so they don’t turn out to be duds.
