Max will have a long decent career with us I reckon. We really don’t have a defender like him. Tall enough to contest with third talls, but agile enough to play on smalls. He’s just not a spoiler, he can mark and he’s not a stop start player, has decent pace and run and will take the game on.

Needs to build on his frame which will happen, I think we should see him a fair bit in 2024.

We ended up picking MM at the pick we gave to the swans for Dawson, effectively getting him as steak knives in the deal. Good job imo

The Geelong model of having heaps of intercept mobile skilled players makes sense.

Have Worrell, Doedee and Michalanney all in the setup, complimented by Butts to go stop a big key.
If might make going for say, a Brennan Cox, unnecessary.

If we could use our 2nd rounder next year to trade back in and grab Barnett or Ryan that would be a great outcome. Keep the Roos 2nd for next year as that will be a much better pick (hopefully).
