You reckon he will get any weeks?

My initial thought after seeing it was that it didn't look too bad. However, Ricciuto was pretty hurt and that will definitely count against him. Hopefully he gets off with a reprimand, but I think might get a week.

The things going against him are that Roo had his head over the ball, and Rooke wasn't stationary when the contact was made, he was actually moving towards Roo. I'd say at least one week, maybe two.

He didn't charge him which was good. He did drop the shoulder which is bad. He realised just as Roo hit him what he had done and looked real apologetic.

1-2 weeks. Perhaps if they are real nice might get off with an early guilty plea.

Come on. The contact wasn't that serious. He was basically standing still!!

Roo was off with concussion after that, I think it was a serious, but Max didn't mean it. It was accidental contact and he was very apologetic after it. But players have been suspended for it all year so I can't see Max getting away with it.

If he gets a week bring in Timmy C. Deserves a game.

Roo left the game and didn't return, so the contact was serious enough for that. He also was moving slightly and tried to bump, as in he tried to shoulder up even though Roo was well below his shoulder.

I'd say unfortunately he will be out for at least 2, hopefully only 1 with an early plea.

Roo pretty much dived into him
If Judd can get off, Rooke should as well

Too totally different contexts, Roo left the ground and couldn't return, Brown kept on playing without any ill affects, so I'd suggest he will go for a week or so.

If he gets a week for an early plea, then he should take it. We can cover his loss for the Lions match, but to have him back for the Swans game is a must.
100% agree Catman . Maxy is so important to our side at the moment , as much as it would be good to have him against the Lions , I think we can cover him. Its the following game against the Sydney boys we will need him more.
If offered a week , take it.

I reckon he will get off. It was Roo that initiated the contact more than Rooke and Rooke actually tried to step back wants he realised the situation he was in.

Which could be completely incidental to the level of contact. Off memory young Crawley cleaned up a bloke a few weeks ago by charging in an delivering a fair and square bump to his head, opposition player continued on. I haven't the seen the replay but from first glance there was barely anything in it and Roo initiated the contact just as much as Rooke...then again, with the tribunal this year who knows?

Roo charged in head down, Max was actually slowing and near stationary when contact made, and pulled back straight away. No intent.
Worst case one week by the idiots on the tribunal under their Oz Lotto method of "points allocation" - seems more like Bingo at the Elwood RSL sometimes....

Looking at it I thought he wasn't moving at the time, more like Roo hit him.

I agree. Didn't see the game, but what they showed on 7 news last night, it looked like Rooke was just standing there when Roo ran into him. Will be very unlucky to get rubbed out IMO, but I guess if Stokes can get 4 weeks for what he did in the NAB Cup, then anything is possible.
