Poor kid, plays his guts out, and tries bloody hard.

Gives a few others a chance, but that is the only positive as far as I'm concerned.

:thumbsd:

Proof required please.
He jogged off so if there is damage at worst a fracture hopefully?

Woops...this is an accidental double-post, so instead I'll just say that last night was the best win of the season! One fit player on the bench since the 5 minute mark of the 2nd quarter, and a 9 point deficit during the 3rd quarter...no team should win a match of footy from that position. Unable to rotate players must be worth goals and goals to Brisbane, so it was every bit as a monumental an effort as West Coast's win yesterday.
Hey Steph, how do you get to watch it.
On the net? or some other way (Collingwood TV)?
just interested that's all :thumbsu:

It has not been confirmed, and although it's a 'possible' broken leg, it's also 'possible' that it's a badly bruised calf. Some people just assume the worst and post anything they want without finding out for certain.

If it is broken, then hopefully it's not a bad break so that he may play again this season. If it's a badly bruised calf, then hopefully he'll be off the injury list within a month.
I'd be happy to be wrong on this :).

Heard it from my uncle, I assume he was listening to the radio, I turned it off after the match.

The thing that makes me doubt that the leg is broken is that he was walking around after his injury without crutches.

Then, after the medical staff take a look at him, they obviously realise that the leg MIGHT be broken, and so they get him on crutches as a pre-cautionary measure.

I just think he might have had more trouble walking around with a broken bone in his leg than he was appearing to have.

Terrible luck for the fella, but now it gives J.Cloke his last opportunity on a hbf. Leave him there Mick and see what he can do. If nothing, then cya.
jason cloke has had plenty of oppurtunity! i think we should promote harry again. maybe those to can split teh games!

bad luck for maxy so brave it was bound to happen one day! not many players would go head first into a collision with brown!

if its broken easily 12 weeks. will need time for willy. but all is not lost we get harry back.

I'd like to see either John Anthony or Danny Stanley replace him.

Not as has been said, O'Brien or J. Cloke, time will tell what Mick will do.

Jason has had enough of a crack.

We've lost both games he's played this year.

Harry is a much more effective backman.

I'm inclined to agree, but for MM's incessant need to try J Cloke in diff positions, ie CHF (numerous attempts) running tagger (Burton earlier this year, a ridiculous mismatch). Its clear he's a one dimensional player, but he is very good in that dimension (negating backman, big spoiler, 2nd or 3rd man up).

I would be happy to see Harry as well.

he hasn't had much of an opportunity as a HBF tho!!

he gets played on the wing against burton in rnd 1, and as a forward / back-up ruck against the west coast...........he never had a chance with the roles he was played in.

the only role he could make a fist of is like maxwell playing on the least dangerous tall forward......

totally agree. bring j.cloke in and play him on a HBF on one of Melbourne's third stringers. i reckon give him a minimum of 3 games to show something and if not...back to willi for the year.
