Dawes, off the ball front on contact with medium force. Took the wind out of Dawes, the football was 50+m away. Sad to see but he is gone, you simply can't suspend Johnson and then not suspend Roughead. The MRP will have to continue the stupid ruling they made and apply it again.

It will be classified as either Reckless, Medium impact and to the body, or Reckless, low impact, high contact which are both level 2 offences. Also classified as rough conduct which gives 225 points. With a 25% good record and 25% early plee it will be reduced to 112.5 and a 1 week suspension.

Roughie actually ran out of his way to hit Dawes where SJ was standing still then lunged at Dan H as he ran past. So that means intentional and not reckless for Rough which could be the difference between a reprimand or a week.

In saying that he'll either get 6 weeks or Dawes will get 3 for staging going by the MRP's (Mysterious Random Penalties) recent form!!!

I can't see how he could possibly get off this. To me it was a strike and not rough conduct which will work in his favour. With the early plea he will get 1 week if judged low impact or 2 weeks if medium impact. I think Gibson should also get a reprimand for his trip/kick on krakouer. It was easily as bad if not worse then lynch's one earlier in the year.

OK seem them both now. Its a deadset joke that our great game has come to scrutinizing incidents like these. To see any player missing any game, let alone a final, is an absolute joke. Yes that includes SJ too.
Not knowing any carryover points, I reckon Roughie gets a reprimand. Maxwell probably ends up with a week due to the end result. Unless the damage occurred when Puopolo hit the ground.
