hahaha good call! Scarlett will continue to fade into irrelevance while Maxy will continue to defy the knockers. Let's just hope he is not lost to the Collingwood Football Club.

Personally I think it best that retired players leave the "safe" environment of their clubs and grow professionally in other arena's. Maxy would only be regurgitating the same stuff he knew as captain if he stayed. Better he goes out and gets exposure to other games, other minds and other methods and comes back to us the complete package.

Good on him. Sorely underestimated and desperately missed but hoping he makes a fist of it in the "real" world. Cheers Maxy!

He has a contract with Channel 7.
He will do Friday And Saturday Nights commentary.
Busy boy he will be what with a young family, a corporate day job, part time coach and commentator.
Likely he will need to attend storm games as well.

He took a full time position at TPF (last I heard) they market a lot of sporting brands including star athletic.
The storm role is part time, might not be that big a time commitment.
Maybe just needs to pop by and tell them to step up every now and then..!

Far better for his own development if he goes to a new environment. Inbreeding rarely produces the best of outcomes. Let him learn from other organisations before he returns with broader knowledge.
