I reckon Brown knew in the straight there that he was going to get roasted for his ride so tried to do too much. Calmness as important as anything for a jockey.

That's fair. He should have persevered to the outside rather than going for the inside miracle. As he hooked back inside a gap opened out wide and he had a horse to drag him into the straight.

Terrible ride

Bookies in Perth getting a ball tearing

Vital Silver backed in from 3.20 to evens and wins easily

was a weird day. First day at Belmont and 7/8 faves win would be a long time since that happened if ever. was dubious when i did the form and had them all so short.

not as long as the time where the only fave that lost on a day was one of the ones i backed. looking at you alpha sky.

Merchant Navy tonight = bet or no?

Why is he carrying more weight than the others?

I'm on because I absolutely don't rate Brando as a real G1 sprinter (I know he looked it last year but still think that win in France was a semi fluke) and he has come up fave. Needs to be wining this to be anywhere near it at Ascot. Think he has a penalty for his Coolmore win (English flat season is October-to-October so assume he carries a penalty for dropping back to G2 having won a G1 already this season).

Will be including in a trixie with worlds best sprinter Battaash in the Temple at Haydock and Gustav Klimt in the Irish 2000 Guineas (was all the rage for Newmarket and now seems to have been forgotten off a run that wasn't all that bad I thought - could be classic rope a dope from the Lads).
