Doomben Cup looks weak. Can’t see Gem Song getting the trip. Afterthought for Shillelagh. Not sure Youngstar’s back to her best or suited here.

Don’t mind On The Rocks from a favourable draw on a good surface at $41/$11 on a 1x3 basis. Won the G1 Herbie Dyke Stakes over 2000m 3 starts ago. Mixes form obviously but his better form gives him a chance. Races erratically though so don’t be surprised if he gives up on a protest!

Now $101 with TAB 🤔

About the same chance I gave it in the Winterbottom - I'd love to back Casino Wizard against it H2H

I agree, had it on upside at big odds with more weight swing. Showed little improvement so far and I think at face value might be top weight against WFA scale??

Edit: 3rd top. 2 mares at the top. Top weight male.

A hard day fields wise, so will be a few plays at decent odds here (Morphettville) tomorrow I’ll be on:

R4 Alaskan Honey ( Over from Vic with D.Oliver on board) at 31’s

R5. Vinland

R6. Flying Krupt

R7. Iconoclasm

R8. Diamond Tycoon ( Racquel Clark on board, 2 of its 3 wins over this distance and goes ok 1st up) at 26’s

All backing e/w if manage to pull a few off will have a tidy profit tomorrow

Folks were probably saying the same about The Bostonian last week.

It may be a Group 1 in name but Life Less Ordinary is $8. Enough said.

True - but lightning doesn't strike twice. And The Bostonian actually had an insanely good first up record. On the Rocks has been shithouse his last two.

anyone going to call the Zoustyle v Plague Stone.

all i've seen anywhere is fence sitting.

as i've said previously i'm a plague stone fan, hoping he just puts pay to these. i think realistically Zoustyle is a G2 type.

Splinters here as well

Prob comes down to whether Zoustyle can cross and get an easy lead or whether it cops heat from Jami Lady / Ronstar.

Would be leaning to Plague Stone at the price but with the different form lines and questionable map it's a look on for me

I'll be having a crack at $4.40 fixed

one of the deepest BM 62's for some time. can't have him but looks to have come back well. i can't even take the $1.90 about 1 of only 2 horses to beat Arcadia queen.

I wish Durrant's was still in there but such is the depth i will be taking double figures on blinkers first time, first up, undefeated Playing Marika.

not going to say it's the best race today, I probably could, but I got shot down the last time i said that and Arcadia Queen did her thing in a little G3.

GS was alongisde Material Man and we saw how good it went on the East Coast.

Doomben Cup (albeit super weak) is the race of the day

was that the prep where it was beaten under 2L in G1 then come down with infection (openly stated prior to disappointing starts).

#noexcuses - infected so bad they kept running it? liefz plz
