Ah yes, the fabled decadence of the Warrnambool carnival returns for 2021, complete with the Sherman Piss-Tanks making a comeback on the hill

On another note, I didn't even notice they'd announced the Racing Hall of Fame inductees... If it means anything

2000 Guineas at Newmarket tonight - basically have to be first up to win it these days and they always say this is the last 2yo race of the season so sticking with who I thought was the best of those in THUNDER MOON. Won the National in Ireland and then was placed in the Dewhurst as fave on a bog. Think Battleground looks the best of Aiden's despite Moore going with Wembley.

Very weak edition of the Palace House which used to be a good King's Stand trial. EMARAATY ANA looks a big price having run a decent third here already this season at the Craven meeting when finishing alongside last years July Cup winner Oxted.

Jockey Club Stakes is a bit of an in between race for the stayers generally not good enough to contest the Coronation at Epsom. Only five runners of which St Leger third PYLEDRIVER is the most interesting. Not sure there is any Melbourne Cup types here.

The Newmarket Stakes was won by Mishriff last year and the mighty Best of Days back in the day but only four runners go to the post this year. SECRET PROTECTOR looks very though to beat coming off his Fielden second.

Get the feeling pike learnt his riding skills on a PlayStation game. Drag it back to last, then try and pick the gaps with an impossible ride each time. Quite fun when it’s make believe.
