Vic Park

The heritage grandstand was falling apart and facilities outdated
Would have been better to nurse it through 2 more years and pumped the $$ from the sale of Cheltenham into it
Prime location , great track , played fair just like Flemington
The jockey club was a tenant of Vic Park, unlike owner of Cheltenham or Morphetteville.

Putting money into Gawler and Murray Bridge was wise.

Hawkes and Hayes shutting their stables was also a sign of struggles within the state.

Another guessing game with a lot of these tracks over the next 24 hours or so these are the ones that appealed to me most.

Friday

Gold Coast
Race 3#5 and 8 could include the #12 if playing mad on speed. Have to risk the fave from the gate, stable and at the price simply too short.

Saturday

Sandown

Race 8#10 Accredited brings the right formline and proper platform for this event. Should get that nice trail in behind the speed. #5 Dashing was strong at WBL and is another that will improve again second up from the front may prove hard to catch. Was happy to oppose the fave needs soft ground and had everything in its favour past 2 runs.

Race 9#7 Oh Too Good looks suited stepping up to the 1400m here. Hopefully Allen can use her gate speed to get across and find a spot in the first half of the field. The others at the top of the market are very well exposed in my opinion.

Doomben

Race 1#13 Sicilian should be at peak fitness here 3rd up and drops in weight after Lang's claim below the min. There is dead set no speed in paper in this race and if she can pinch some cheap sections early may just keep going.

Race 4 Level staking #7 Appin Girl fresh and #1 Cannonball who should appreciate the class drop and a more positive ride from Shinn.

Race 7#11 Bella Montagna looks to have map favours ahead of her main rivals, who are all looking at peaking again in the Oaks and don't need to win this.

Race 8#1 Antino has had the perfect prep leading into this 3rd up 2000m off the back of his 1800m demolition. Goes wet r dry and Shinn has the key to him. Thought #6 My Oberon was a good roughie who should be in that prime stalking role just in behind the speed. Was happy to take on POJ. Her ratings this time in are below what she has produced in the past and against inferior opposition. Further to that, I truly believe she is best suited a mile. Happy for her to beat me

Te Repa

Race 3#11 Our Lurrina 2yo making its debut by Wooton Bassett and the 7th foal for former G1 winning mare Faint Perfume. His 2 trials over 800m have looked real stylish particularly late through the line and he was never asked to do a lot in either. These Wooton Bassett's are proving to be real goers early and at 11s he represented real good value to me on a 1X3 unit basis.

Anyway, that's probably enough dross. Good luck with your investments if you are playing across the weekend.

Spot on with Accredited and Oh Too Good there, throw in Otago and its a pretty good looking 3 leg multi

Wonder how many of the flogs on Get On will go
Highly doubt any but that bald headed campaigner needs to go. How on earth that bloke has carved out a media career is beyond me. Must be nice to lick every trainers and administrators arse all day. Absolute knob of a bloke too
