One of the reasons I chose a CX-9 last time we were looking for a car - and we love it. Can recommend.

In fairness, Mazda probably get a pretty fair deal.
The exposure they get for what is probably a low-end buy in would be a good investment.

Not being a downer - this is undeniably good news.

However, just pointing out that Mazda basically has to stay with NMFC if they want to stay involved with the AFL, due to the 'ban' on car manufacturers being club sponsors due to the AFL Toyota sponsorship.

Existing sponsorships are grandfathered in, but new sponsorships require a 'by special exemption' approval from the AFL (such as what we saw with Skoda/GWS I believe it was when they first entered the league). And I think we all know the AFL wouldn't approve a new company for us.

So, yes - good job by all involved in re-upping Mazda, but it was also a bit of a lay-up.

Hasn't this been debunked a few times?

SsangYong literally became a new sponsor of collingwood 2 days ago.

I thought the AFL changed the rules regarding car manufacturers about 5/6 seasons ago. At least that is what I was told when we last extended our relationship with Mazda.

Congrats to Sonja and Jenn, well done.

There is precisely zero chance the AFL would decline an uncontroversial sponsor like a car company for us.

Great news.

Mazda - if you're reading this, you need a decent EV.

Where's my hybrid Mazda6 wagon! I would buy one tomorrow if I could.

Congrats to Jen and Son, on behalf of this board we never doubted you for a second.

Why does every fiber of my being tell me we are going to follow this up with a two point loss

Oh I didn't know that. Interesting to hear that.

Has our great sponsor been taken over by the AFL. Purchased another new Mazda filled the forms to get our North stuff . And they knocked it back lol well I don’t know why . Have to be over 18, look pretty good for my age but yes. Car registered in my name ,yes, but partners name on purchase order also who gives a shit. Can’t apply for this offer if applied before ,also haven’t applied .
Have received items before but not this actual offer if they want to be technical and 10 yrs ago . Told them not to offer these things if there is caveats attached we have enough of those dealing with the AFL. Also told the club about what has eventuated.
Who would have thought you had to do an exam to get a fk n drink bottle lol.
