Is there something deeper going on with Tom's toe injury troubles?
He seems to be running in quicksand and has the turning circle of the titanic now.
His confidence is rock bottom and he just seems out of it.
I'd be tempted to give Brown a crack instead of Tom next week.
No. With Jackson now injured, TMac becomes very important as that forward/2nd ruck player. Must play. I feel he's worked hard last two games and might not be far away from some form.

Random thoughts and s**t theories on the decline of TMac;

How does a guy go from world beater at the end of 2018 to falling off a cliff?

I remember the start of 2019, wouldn't jump for balls like he was the previous season, lacked mobility or explosiveness on the lead

Similarities to Trengove are 100% there. Navicular anyone?

All this happened around the same time we sent Joel Smith back onto the ground with an injury, does anybody else think it's possible Misso read something on the internets that said running helps heal navicular injuries?

Conclusion: this isn't just your out of form/getting old kind of form drop off. Wouldn't be surprised if there was some serious neglect by the club in all this. Rushing him back / out there coz we rated ourselves as a premership chance in 2019 .Don't be surprised if we trade him in the off-season only for him to fail a medical and land right back with us.

He still kicked 18 goals in 12 games last year. This year he has 7 from 9 when we've been a better side. Bizarre.

Looked the same slow player he is this year tho. Was just clunking a few more marks.

Been wondering about his foot ever since he did it in 2018, perhaps he was able to finish off 2018 fine enough but in the process caused what could be irreversible damage. There's surely no way a guy in his mid to late twenties loses this amount of athleticism in such a short time frame unless there's injury involved.

100%
Said earlier in the year, you can't go from looking that good to looking that average at 26 or whatever he is, he's physically cooked, like he should retire
Guaranteed his foot is ****ed
