My first choice is Subway.

You can eat a friggin sandwich at home...but the warm salty goodness of Maccas chips *drools*

You mean the dry, potato-less, brown, crispy 'goodness' of Macca's chips?

They have NOTHING on KFC ships, or any chips from any Charcol Chicken for that matter! McDonald's chips have got to be the worst around. There is hardly any potato in them, no chicken salt and they're too cripsy. KFC chips > Macca chips.

i dont know what you people have been eating, but im pretty certain im not eating plastic. I love macca's, its ONLY bad for you when you have it every day which is what not to do. Study proves that, with programs such as today tonight shows that theres 13g of fat in a big mac which in reality is not alot at all. Although subway is nice, i believe its pricing is quite high, you can make those sandwiches at home but yes when you walk past the smell is nice and makes you want to buy one :)

P.S - i think people have gone too crazy about health. I remember once seeing something on tv that bread was bad for you :S :S

Had HJ's for the second time ever last weekend. Too much sauce, but it was edible. Haven't had Maccas for about two months, KFC longer. Over fast food.

Is this trent who works at Macca's in 'gatha?

Having worked at Macca's I can safely say that I am a bit sick of their food (except for caramel sundaes - they are good), but they certainly are the most SUCCESSFUL take away business.

Subway smells horrible. According to the McDonalds website, there are actually 25.7 grams of fat in a Big Mac. However that isn't all that much more than the 20g of fat in a 6 inch Chicken Fillet at Subway, or the 23g of fat in a 6 inch Meatball.

Check out the Maccas website Nutrition Calculator, where you can put in what you eat and then find out the fat, calories and kilojoules.

McDonald's Website

Also, for those interested, Subbaz are bringing out toasted subs to Australia within the next few months.

In the latest Today Tonight tests:

The burgers were a surprise with lower fat levels than expected. Hungry Jacks' Chicken Burger was the fifth fattiest with 12.1g and in sixth place the McDonalds' Big Mac with 13.6g.

There you go it's healthier than we think.

Subway is the snob's fast food restaurant

yeh KFC and Maccas r both good takeaway stores, but im stop this taLk bout mcdonalds!! ur making me hungry!!!!!!!

KFC is too fatty..have you ate one of those Zinger Burgers? There r all lumps of fat on the sides of the chicken.

sounds a bit like last time they did an expose on McDonalds on Today Tonight where Media Watch picked up on the fact that the researcher was a manager of one of the franchises.

According to the late great Wesley Willis:

McDonalds hamburgers are the worst
They are worse than Burger King
A Big Mac has 26 grams of fat
A quarter pouhas 28 grams of fat

Rock and Roll McDonalds...

Burgerman is gold.

Don't know if you ever got to try the original oporto's from North Bondi (not the crappy fast food version - which isn't bad, but not great - that it has now turned into) but that was 1000 times better than any burger i've ever eaten.

captain obvious!

One of the biggest, most recognised, and profitable businesses that the world has ever seen. By far the best take away business.

As for the food.......and the in your face advertising......and gaudy yellow arches......

Do what I do and ask for no sauce, I love those Aussie Burgers much prefer Hungry Jacks over Mcdonalds, Usually have KFC once a week as well.

My choices depend on convenience. i.e: Live down the road from McDonalds, work across the road from KFC and Subway.

Back when I lived on the 'Ninch, all we had was Subway, so I was regularly getting my free stamp earnt footlong.....sandwich.

However, if I had to pick one that just doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Nandos.

Tastes like actual chicken. What a concept. And when you eat in, you eat on a plate, rather than trays. Makes a difference.
