I see he played ok for Perth in the intra-club. 16 possesions 10 marks and played mostly from CHF. When will we see him in the eagles line up, Round 1,2,3. I also read Butler had 33 possesions the week before so he gotta be in the mix too.

I think all of Matera,Cox and McDougall will all be back for round 1 but maybe 1 or 2 will miss.We will have to wait until the teams on Thursday.

Thats great news... I've said all along his best position is CHF/CHB.. not full forward. He will probably play Full Forward for us tho.. with Hansen there... unless Hansesn plays Full Forward instead which is not out of the realms of possibility.... he leads hard and strong.. and is a decent mark.. and a great kick for goals. Full Forward would suit Hansen more and CHF would suit McDougall more.

Fair enough, and what about Butler breaking into the 22, after 33 possessions 2 weeks ago for Perth ? Round 1, or will he be with Perth for a while ?

I think he'll definitely in hte side come Rd1 if he doesn't get injured again.. He should play FF but i think he is more suited to CHF with his agility, and a booming kick from outside 50

So what exactly are you saying?

That one, two or all of those players might play in Round 1?

How insightful!

I get the feeling that he won't play until round 2.
That's something to hang your hat on.

I reckon 2 of those 3 will play against Adelaide. Probably Cox and one of the forwards.

I don't believe players should lose their place just because they have been injured. If McDougall is fit, he should be our FF against Adelaide. That said, if he doesn't perform the selectors shouldn't be afraid to drop him back to the WAFL.

Yes, I reckon he'll be back Round 2. Lynch, Hansen and Gardiner as tall options up forward for Round 1.
