Gotta admire the decision he has made. You can see how he was one of the most well liked players at two clubs. Obviously put a fair few bomber supporters off but those that know him rate him very highly.

Twice now he has ****ed a club's list management moves by taking his sweet ass time to make a decision.

He signed a contract a month ago.

Changing your mind is one thing, but really? Plus, he has form - could not give a toss about the other side of the coin (the club).

Hope nothing but the best of health to him and his family; but admire him? Hell no - not even close.

mcphee loves his family and will do whatever for them so that's pretty easy to admire. yeah it hurt freo (although not really) and yeah at essendon he handled everything post-coming to that decision in such a horrible manner he's probably done some good in the end by giving free agents a guide as to how to not handle their exit from the club, but ultimately his intent was sound and i just can't be bothered hanging the guy. time wounds all heals etc etc.

Fremantle loses nothing with him leaving - They also fired Anthony - So can redraft Crichton/Lower back onto the list.

If memory serves, Welshy took two at the time (with Collingwood sniffing around).

He'll always have a place at Essendon, and that will inevitably translate into opportunities, contacts and probably a free beer or two.
