Brothers of Destruction
1. Supporters always locked out of grand finals.
2. Home tenants Richmond, Collingwood and Hawthorn starting to lose the ability to get into finals - with Docklands agreement changing, same will happen definitely with Essendon.
2. Membership has exploded, attendances are at a record high yet the MCG capacity has decreased from 120,000 standing to 100,000 sitting.

Negatives? Tax payers money being spent, many home and away games with less of an atmosphere..

Just remove the MCC allocation, it's not cricket season

Issue fixed
Are you happy for your couch to be used while you're at work by people you don't control to show other content on your tv?

I know you pay for the house but you're not using it.

There was nothing worse than seeing Melbourne supporters in their scarves lining up for MCC on Grand Final day, then seeing Adelaide fans that have travelled 700km holding signs up offering $15,000 a ticket. It’s not right.

You realize that while people support clubs, some are also football fans that love going to the footy.

The way the MCC is set up for grand finals is s**t. Most members who actually support a team playing on the day can’t get in because you need to be a full member. They should allow you to nominate a team and if they are playing in the grand final you have access on grand final day

Yeah 100% agree.

I refuse to watch football on the third level as it is too far away from the action as it is.

Imagine how ******* bad the view would be if they went higher.

If the AFL really want to fix this issue, they should increase ticket prices which would lower the demand and therefore everyone who is willing to pay would get a ticket

When they rebuild the GSS (20+ years away IMO) they will make it a bit bigger but not much.
Maybe get seating back to 100k, currently it's a few thousand under that - it's only standing room that gets capacity to 100k. Not really practical to try for much more than that.

So it's not right that paying football fans and MCC members that pay a lot of money for that right go to the footy simply because they may not support the team in it?

Piss off.
That is correct. Supporters of the teams playing should get first dibs. You haven’t seen your team win a Grand Final before so it’s no surprise that you don’t understand.
