MCG seating?

I'm heading across from Tassie to the hawks versus pies clash in round 16 with the family, and wondering where the best spot to get seating is? Bit concerned about the weather so undercover would be good. I've been there a few times but can't recall (if like colonial) if the level 2 seating ('N' section or whatever it is) is the best?...and most expensive? Will ticketmaster sell tickets specifically to designated areas? Any suggestions?

If I were you I wouldn't reserve a seat unless you really want to just turn up at 2PM....best bet is top deck of the Southern Stand...but I think you can buy reserved seating on the 2nd deck, but it's a Collingwood home game so the Collingwood supporters might know better.

Top deck of the Southern the best? You gotta be kidding! I got stuck up there one Anzac day game and its like watching little ants running around - no thanks!

The best I have found is the first level up in the Southern, right on the wing. However Ive only ever sat there when attending luncheons, all that area seems to be reserved.

Probably the second level up in the Southern is the next best, on the wing of course!

Ive never had to reserve a public seat at the G for a home and away game - just rock up you should be right - dont get there at 2 tho!

I usually get there early and sit right next to the cheersquad. I havent got a cheersquad membership this year as it is too late now but I am planning to buy one next year.
