MCG - WTF

The playing surface is the REAL issue here, and there’s been barely a reference to it. That may can change when someone does a knee because the turf has shifted under them. Watching the games there reminded me of the Gary Larson cartoon; Bob’s roller skates, floor wax, ball bearings and banana peels, with all the slipping going on. How are these professional sportsmen meant to play to their optimum level when the AFL can’t even provide them with a deck befitting an elite competition?

The only players slipping were in losing sides. Didn't seem to effect the hawks or tigers

Did the extra led signage at the G annoy anyone else? So distracting. Its not likely they will remove it, so why not turn down the brightness during the game. Use the dimmer settings!!
Looked like a marvel game when I first turned it on. The new blue seats are also jarring, makes the MCG look more plastic. Bring back the dull green, a bit more high status. Muted tones similar to those used in luxury branding, like Rolex, versus the pop used in cheaper products like budget car brands or online marketing agencies.

Our players absolutely slipped. Lalor slipped twice in a couple minutes near the end of the match, and there were at least 3 other instances on the wing where our players slipped over (sometimes at the same time/spot as a Carlton player)

It’s not an issue on level 1

I was on ground level punt road end.

When the ball was down the Ponsford end, you had to try and find a moving ball, with moving players, with a highly red illuminated moving backdrop. It’s a lot going on.

The graphics shouldn’t move sideways during play. They should also be toned down in colour.

I was there Friday night and the only different thing I noticed was no blaring music and annoying people on microphones during the breaks. And new blue seats in AFL Members.

They did hold back Thursday could barely have a conversation to the person I went with the music was that loud

I thought this was going to be about the smell in the ponsford stand on Thursday night. Apparently all of the toilets were blocked. Truly a disgusting evening for all of the 5 senses.
Carlton trying to re-create the feel of the old days of wading through piss in the Heatley Stand at Princes Park?

oh hang on, it was their away game

I always find for Hawthorn home games the music and even the PA is quieter than other team's home games
