Yeah, I'm serious. Jarred Moore's experience, leadership and nous are just the right combination we could use for the rest of the finals series. Who better to replace a small forward? He deserves his chance. You can't argue for fresh blood when a premiership's up for grabs.

Yeah, LRT was so good down back it would be almost a shame to see him go forward again.

Just depends I spose. Against the pies lrt grundy and ted could all play back perhaps i dunno, i just hope mcglynn plays somehow

This isn't a Grundy hate post but I really think we need the extra small in the team. Today we had LRT/Richards/Johnson back, Mumford/Reid/Pyke/Goodes forward and in the ruck - plus Mattner usually goes as the 3rd or 4th tall in defence, and Morton is a similar style of player in attack. Bringing in another one at the expense of McGlynn are we going to be too tall?

Problem is though there are no midfielders in the reserves screaming out for a game. Everitt would be the next cab off the ranks and he is a tallish utility

Parker Perfect in from the pine pound. With Armstrong to the vest vault, dressed in garish green.

Reg needs reminding that September suspensions for daft doings, are not necessarily only on the tribunals terms!

Grundy could play johnsons spot and johnson can run free? Depends who we play. North and eagles are quite tall sides

I'm going to need the fu translator (patent pending) again....

In all seriousness though, I'm thinking just a straight swap for Reg. Maybe switch Reg forward this time allowing Goodes to work out of the middle more?

No reason not to bring Grundy back in because all of Collingwood/West Coast/North Melbourne have 3 tall options in their forward line. We would still have the the option to send LRT forward but we can allow Richards to zone off better with Grundy back and LRT also in defence.

Bird to go forward. Parker gets the full game. Armstrong back in.

I know it won't happen, but i'm kind of hoping LRT stays back. He was so good there today, much better than up forward. Morton was excellent as his replacement, and i'd hate to see him pushed out so LRT could go back up there, just so we can fit Grundy back in.

Can people not remember just how exposed we got last time Moore played for us in a final? It was against the Bulldogs where Harbrow tore us apart from half-back running up the ground off Moore. Geepurs some people have no memory. Can you even imagine what Heath Shaw would do to him?
Exactly right. I like Moore but he'd be a complete liability.

I think you're right in theory. What McGlynn gives us is constant movement, tackling pressure, note with and pace. That's what we will really miss Woh him gone. If Rohan were fit, the loss of McGlynn would not be as hard felt. But with both of them out, weave to find a way to lay takes inside fifty. Morton, I'm glad to say, will stay in after a great performance but I think Parker will be played almost exclusively forward when he plays, as he was yesterday. That will help provide some of the pressure that we lose without McGlynn.

I still think what we will see is Grundy coming in and LRT going forward. Then the sub has to come from Bird or Parker I think and Bird will get a job on Heath Shaw or Shannon Hurn so Parker is the logical choice again.

Grundy for McGlynn, straight swap.

It's great to know LRT can still hold down a key back possie but throw him back forward and let Goodes have a free role in the midfield / forward line.

We'll really miss McGlynn's run with ability.
