Your missing the point. When was the last time Jenkins and Walker ripped a game apart with contested marking crashing packs? The only player I can remember crashing packs with a real contested mark is MM.
More to the point when was the last time McGovern ripped a game apart with contested marking and crashing packs?? What we've more generally seen are "cameos" of what you talk about from McGovern. What we've actually seen is a lot of potential of what you are talking about but that is not the reality as of today. If Freo offered up their first should he decide to exit I'd suggest we'd accept that gleefully.......He is uncontracted.

I dont think mitch will leave. People need to chill.
I didn't think Dangerfield or Tippett would leave either... so this time I'm certain he's going. That way I'll be pleasantly surprised if he stays and not so bitterly disappointed if he leaves. Logic there somewhere...

Midfield is priority for West coast but i could see us willing to involve luke Partington in a deal. He isnt too far away from our squad and already averaging 29 dispsals this season for East Perth. At the moment his slight frame and defensive game probably has held him back from a debut. That said he isnt that far off. Its possible come trade period he might just put his hand up to move back home.

That covers the steak knives, what else ya got??

What's his DE% in those 29 disposals like.

Seriously? You didnt see those coming? Both of those were pretty obvious. Look if either Lever or Gov take this down to the end of the season, they are both gone. But as long as this stupid ******* CBA is still outstanding then I dont think we need to panic.

Sorry but we've already fallen for the Dean Gore trick once.

Sheed would be who I'd want.
sheed will never leave being a west aussie. Plus we legit have no young good mids coming through atm and Sheed looks like will end up being +B grader or more once he gets time a full time midfield gig.

Has he started hitting targets yet??

Okish. described as a neat kick by those who watch him. Its just that he doesn't hurt the oppo as much rather he uses his hand too much. He has a bit of toe and i think we are tyring develop him into more of an allround mid.

Cole was good last year but had injuries earlier in the year and hasn't got going yet.

Yes, but I am not expecting him to have put it all together yet. This was his second season of AFL until he got injured. How exactly do you imagine the progression of a future $700k to $800k/year key forward should look in his second year of footy? Its pretty much exactly how Gov was tracking. And once you let them go to another club, they are gone for good. No second chances. If you have to pay overs to keep a guy like Gov then you do it.
I'm hoping he does luckily freo and west coast won't pay him overs they are pretty sensible can't say the same for those clubs east

If he wants to go home it won't be $ driven and there won't be anything we can do about it

Have you seen spp's one from 2015? Most of these vidoe's look average unless you have freakish attributes. Partington is one of those work horse type that just accumilate on the inside. He does have a bit of Burst in him that could make him a tad more dangerous if developed correctly.

Norwood, Canadiens, Maroons.
Also 119 tarps kochie poorts. Now that we've got all that out of the way, I'd be wanting to pay McGov at least $600k a year, but he could potentially command more. Difficult thing is the contract length. He could leverage for a longer contract, but clubs are finding they have drawbacks these days.
Meh. Not that much. Was having injuries then a reasonably ok year 2016 then a nasty hammy. Definitely not keen on a long contract. Way to risky.

If it was me I'd be more interested in Cole than Partington, played across half back and then moved into the midfield and played some real good footy for the Bendigo Pioneers along with impressing in the couple of games he played in the VFL. Has a real hard edge to his game which I like.

if we are to do a realistic trade only
sheed and maybe gaff interest me from the eagles
neale, weller, tucker and maybe s hill or walters from the dockers
we need to get someone in return not a speculative draft pick given we are challenging.

I think you should be able to see glimpses of quality even in these brief highlights packages. I just didn't like anything that I saw in the video. He is not a bad player, he just doesn't seem to have a single thing that he is exceptional at. No weapons at all, including his inside work. Its a pretty hard gig to make it at AFL level, its not for everyone.

That could be a possibility as we do have a few flankers. maybe even Matthew Allen? Not big enough for a genuine a KPF role but big enough for that third tall. he is a work in progress at the moment (injured atm).

No to Matthew Allan, we don't need Forwards unproven at AFL level.

Tom Cole is not just a flanker, he played some really good footy in the midfield for the Pioneers, surprised if you reckon you lack mids he's not in the conversation, he's a nice size for a mid too.

Im trying to remeber a game which Gov has torn it apart and taken the brownlow votes or maybe 2 brownlow votes actually even 1 brownlow vote

Can you help me?

He has Potential but hasnt delivered this break away performance yet of this contested marking beaast better than the rest of the forward line

Please dont overate players!!!!!!!!!
He did against Essendon last year when Tex was out (though to be fair, it was Essendon) and that was after an absolute shit show of a performance against Geelong where he literally could have sat on the bench the entire game and had about the same impact as he did on field.

He's contracted, so you immediately lose leverage there. Honestly, not super keen on him, it continues the same setup we have now with Otten.
