I dont believe in big noting myself on an anonymous forum. But since you insist shoulder that has a tinge of arthritis now ,a knee that aches a bit sometimes and a few head knocks that weren't pleasant at the time but all good, and Im not that old .
McGovern has come up after worse in home and away games .
I watched the replay and the commentators who I think were Bell and some other knob both said -hip pointer they hurt.So thats a good guide..Also the Eagles haven't been anything but staight forward and non deceptive about injurys all year. And they say he will come up.

But you do believe in Calling someone 'full of shit' on an anonymous forum and having a big crack at them ?

West Coast defender Jeremy McGovern will definitely play against Collingwood in the grand final despite rumours he is nursing broken ribs.

West Coast assistant coach Jaymie Graham has hosed down rumours that Jeremy McGovern is nursing broken ribs, saying the star defender is not in doubt for Saturday's grand final against Collingwood.

McGovern copped a knee to his body during the first half of last week's preliminary final win over Melbourne, and was rested for most of the first quarter.

The three-time All-Australian is yet to train this week, but Graham says McGovern is progressing well and will train on Friday at the MCG.

I call bullshit. He has definitely got broken ribs and if the eagles pump him full of drugs (effectively performance enhancing drugs) to get him on the field they are putting his life at risk and bringing the game into disrepute.

Yeah cos the club wouldn’t lie about it would they . Trained ? Did you see the vision ? Could hardly move . The real story will come out post match as they always do , and I’ll be happy to accept apologies then from those bagging me . I have an impeccable source in the West - he has a serious rib issue. It’s obvious from the footage - have you actually seen where petracca’s knee gets him ? Hip pointer my ass

He doesn't have broken ribs. FACT. And he jogged around the oval as instructed (hardly moving lol) Stop trying to make a story where there isnt one.

Seriously, how old are you?
Did you not hear Balmy last week!
Every club lies, nature of the beast.
Learn to read between the lines.

How old are you? Some old geezer who thinks the moon landing was fiction? Simpson categorically stated he doesnt have broken ribs no more than 2 hours ago. There are no lines to be read.

How old are you? You’re completely falling for it.

1 - clubs lie about injuries. Eagles play silly buggers as much as anyone. See Darling & Kennedy injuries this year.

2 - if he does have a cracked rib or something like that, he’s still gonna play. Relax. They jab him up real nice.

3 - if he does, Simpson isn’t going to tell the world he has. May as well wear a target for the game.

Relax bro. Likely no story, but he’s the main one under a cloud leading up to the biggest game of the year. Course it’s gonna get attention

why are there three pies fans on here saying gov has broken ribs? where are you getting your info?

Literally started in a thread on the Collingwood forum where a few blokes agreed that from the footage it looked more like he got hit in the ribs than on the hip.

Not sure why there's so much eagerness to push the rib injury line of thought though. A massive knock to the hip pointer can be absolutely debilitating, whereas tons of footballers across the journey have proven you can power through a cracked rib if need be.

Let’s just hope it’s serious either way yeah?

As long as he’s not 100%, that’s the main thing.

Isn’t a cork injury the one type of injury that you can’t jab up if it’s causing pain? I know they were talking about that in the lead up to last week’s game and I thought it was in relation to Dusty but I could be wrong.

Not saying that that effects whether or not McGovern plays, I just noticed it was suggested he’d be jabbed up for the pain.

You can because it won't hinder performance. A pulled muscle you can't as the muscle simply won't work properly even if injected

Gov does not need to walk, jump or raise his arms to play his natural game.

A teammate will be delegated to wheel his hospital bed around the backline as per his instructions, so that Collingwood can repeatedly kick the ball to him.

The key to this game plan is ensuring the hospital bed also has room for an upsized whopper value meal.
