Interesting today to watch both.
Sydneys mchack back to his insipid best and his bomber brother back to his pushing and shoving false toughness, maybe both would go better at Freo.

bedford, i have to say right here, as much as i've slagged the Sydney McVeigh in the past, i'd rather have him than his quoit older brother who, as you say, epitomises the false bravado and macho bullshite of the phony tough-guy role he's been trying to play for a few years now
what a tool
i've only seen bits of the game, so i can't really comment on their respective performances, but listening to rex hunt and some of the idiots who call with him, i once again had to endure the utter disrespect these fckers constantly show sydney players, to the extent that "mark mcveigh" was playing on both sides for all but about maybe three times i heard them say jarryd mcveigh

but with bird, moore and jack coming along beautifully, i'm still giving the red and white mcveigh the benefit of a lingering large doubt

it took a while, but at least we belted them

OUr McVeigh had a perfectly servicable game in my opinion. He wasnt one of our best players but he also wasnt one of our worst. He has 17 disposals which isnt bad bad effort in my opinion.

I don't understand this thread. Sydney's McVeigh played well yesterday:confused:
y'reckon? I thought he was pretty lame.

The only thing I remember him doing was getting the ball on the wing with a shitload of time and no pressure and taking way too long to make up his mind before putting right on top of the forward's head for an easy spoil. Terrible decision making and an even worse kick. Its the sort of thing he used to do all the time, but happily hasn't been a feature of his play this year (until Sunday).

Mark McVeigh is a far bigger parasite than his brother after watching him on Sunday. Beigh a tough player is putting your head over the ball not giving cheap shots and pushing every player that looks at him. He is trying to be like a Soloman or Mark Johnson that were both parasites but were still hard players

one of the biggest try-hards in the league and until the past two season, was also seriously over-rated
he's still no star, but try telling the ex-endon fans that, they burst into tears
i spose y'can't blame them, the complete lack of real midfield talent at that club means dog's eggs like mcveigh, m are elevated to star status if they play two decent games back to back
i remember earlier in the season copping a slagging on the main board from a bomber fan because i made the statement that whilever mark mcveigh was regarded as one of club's best players they would not be a genuine finals contender
one of the most loathesome twankers around
