Considering he's training with the defenders who've all taken him under their wing according to the club article I think we can safely say he's being groomed for a role in defence.

If you’re looking at a comparison he’s more like Alex Keath than anyone both in style and physique.

On that basis I’d have to say he’s not shaping as a player anchored to defence like Talia.

But yes, he’s very clearly being groomed as a defender
