we put brock up for trade, everyone stop crying.
carlton came to the club and asked about brock's availability and we said, for the right price he was very availably. brock agreed to it because he knew he was finished at the club, if we had wanted to keep brock, WE WOULD HAVE.

he is not a traitor, WE were happy to see him go, just like TJ. both trades have been won by us, get over it.

brock will most likely be delisted in the next few years, his career is all but over. i hope in 10 years you think about everything he has done for the club.

I'm actually starting to feel a bit sorry for Brock.

His body is failing him in a massive way, and to be honest, I'm not sure I see him playing at AFL level in 3 years time.

I hope I'm wrong, but that's how I see it at this point in time.

honestly sick of all these people trolling McLean and calling him a 'traitor'. watching him play in the past for Melbourne, he was always the one putting his body on the line for his teammates and thats obviously taken a toll on him lately. but in saying that, i am confident he will bounce back, because use would know that if fit, he is a really good footballer. not saying this because I am a Carlton supporter but a footy fan in general. didn't he donate something like $15,000 for the club?

Bs: get your facts straight he walked out on the club. That's why people are calling him a traitor. I am not one of those people but that is why.

I remember I was on the phone to my dad and he was wtching fox sports and I was telling him about Joel mac I think it was has a chance of coming to Melbourne. He told me on fox sports it said that Brock walked out on the club.

He then went on to choose carlton as the team. As soon as the trade was done every Melbourne supporter breathed a sigh of relief i think as he chose a club and we still got pick 11 for him.

i heard it was $20,000

Ive heard Brock himself say that it was his decision to go to Carlton.

He spoke about the meeting with Chris Connolly, Tim Harrington, Dean Bailey and his manager and how it was a real surprise to them.

It made me think that Carlton had obviously been speaking to him whilst he was at Melbourne because he nominated them as his preference in the same meeting that he told the club he wanted to go.

Im not going to comment on Brock because Im disappointed he wanted to leave, but thought he did some good things for the Dees. But Carlton were a little disrespectful in this instance - and its not the first time.

carlton were idiots in this situation. pick 11 for a one paced player with body on an 80year old.

i almost cried with happiness when i heard we would be getting 11 for him. he wont be playing in 3 years. i did love him as a player, but am not devastated to see him go

Brick McLean , fat & slow. Glad we dumped this jackass. And to think some morons on this forum had him as a future Captain of the MFC. What a laugh.

He was a future captain of our club. Damn loyal, always put his body on the line even when we were playing like crap. Clearance king, first to the ball. Believe me, Gysberts may be gun but we're not a better team without McLean....

Apparently Carlton are a better team without McLean.

Who would have known that when he did his foot in Rd 1 of 07 would begin his (and our) slide down, seriously wonder how good he would have been before all those injuries, do hope he can get back to somewhere near his best but really does look like another luke ball situation where he will still battle on but his best days are behind him.

Tomorrow tho I am expecting a late change with Brocky back in, strategic move by Ratten to try and get Brock fired up with a point to prove to us and ratten

i think its more of the point that people cant bill it as a brock vs melbourne dual, to take pressure off him

There is no need to be bitter about Brock leaving, we completely r*ped Carlton with this trade.

The Dees didnt exactly play hard ball about it - they pushed the deal through very quickly. I think that says something.

yeah the dees were like pick 11 wtf, quick they said yes, make em sign it, do ettt
