I can't remember saying I'd never insult them. I can remember however saying something along the lines of I'd resect Tredrea more once he gets to that milestone. If you think I'm not going to insult any Port Power players just because they reach 250 games, then you got another thing coming

But Mcleod for me. Only for the fact that he has been more consistant over his career compared to Wanganeen.
Wanganeen has a Brownlow and 2 premierships, whilst McLeod has 2 Norm Smiths and 2 Premierships. But McLeod has been high up in Browlow votes compared to Wanganeen over their careers.
Put it this way, which player would put the most bums on seats?
TP? Rory? Toots? And lets be honest here. This is not Bay 13!!

McLeod started the 1997 GF on a HBF, the 1998 GF on a HFF and spent time in the middle during both of them.
In the 1998 Prelim, he kicked a bag of 7 goals.
In 2006 he was named an AA backman.
He has been named in the AA midfield multiple times.

Both are versatile and talented players, and both had major impacts in their teams premiership years.
In all honesty, I think it's hard to split the two. Statistically, McLeod's career has been superior, but he's played in the middle a fair bit more than Wangas, so that becomes less relevant. At their best, both are superb, and both can play multiple roles for their teams.
I voted McLeod because I thought his best season (2001) eclipsed Wanganeens, despite one having a brownlow and the other not.

I think this poll would probably be closer if McLeod wasn't married to a crazy woman.

Yeah maybe thats the case but IMO Wanganeen should have won another Brownlow in 2003. No offence to Riccuito, Buckley and Goodes they are all deserving of browlows all champions and could have won one in other years (excluding Goodes who has won another) but Wanganeen just played absolutely unreal that year. I watched ever game Port played that year and had him in my top three pretty much every week. Wanganeen only lost by one point i think it was but the last game i dont think he got any points. He should have got at least one point probably two. But saying that he didn't win and neither did Mcleod in 2001, you can't change the past.

Both Brilliant players. Both deserving of a Brownlow/ Browlows. Love watching Mcleod play but love watching Wanganeen more. Someone said Mcleod gets more bums on seat than wanganeen! They obviously havent gone to a power match. He was the heart and soul especially in those early days.

Cant wait for Tex Wanganeen!

Agreed. I used to go to Ports home games as well in their first few seasons, and I loved watching him.
