I saw young jordie address the pre-match function prior to the adelaide game a few weeks back, and he was actually very positive, spoke well, gave the coburg team a big wrap and took questions about how their VFL season was going, didn't have a bad word to say about playing in the two's. say what you want about him but it would have been a big effort to come and talk to a packed room of richmond supporters, especially since i'm sure he's been resigned to his fate for a while now.

what struck me was throughout the year i haven't heard too much belly-aching from him about not getting a game (not publicly anyway, the only person i remember complaining that he wasn't getting a game was mike sheehan IIRC). geoff and andrew raines should take note of this kind of behaviour.

if he still wants to play footy good luck to him, will hold nothing against him if another club decides to look at him.

Ha ha I wonder if Raines is complaining now he is not getting a game on a list that has no upside imo and is going to be very average very soon. I think Raines will find himself a permanent QAFL side because that is where he is heading.

Yeah I really reckon ole Sanchez has shown some character this year.
Was pretty obvious that he was not in our longer term plans but from all reports, has 'mucked in' with Coburg well and still been positive around the tigers during the week.

He probably deserves some heat for not stepping up to the plate & working harder on his game with the new coach but from what I recall, there was a bit of crap going on in his personal life as well.
It's annoying that The Tigers pretty much wasted 3 years and 900k on him but I blame the previous administration for this a lot more than the player.

On Andrew Raines? Yeah the ugly parent (father) syndrome rears it's head with him...
Over-rate your kid and try to manage their career path too much rather than just telling them to knuckle down and work harder & harder.

Is this a bad spot to say that 1% of me has a miniscule concern about Mr D. Martin Senior in a few years? Some expected success at The Tigers should ease any potential itchy feet from Dustin & we need to keep looking after him so let's hope not! :o

Jordan is a really lovely young man and can't do enough around the club and for the club. Whatever happens, I am sure we all wish him luck in the future. He has had a tough time and deserves some breaks.

I'd keep my mouth shut too if I was being paid $333,000 a year to play VFL footy.

Encountered him a few times at various events with my kids. Seems like a great guy. Read in the paper today that he hasn't given up on getting another contract at Richmond. Can't really see it happening, but I hope he lands somewhere and does well.

It would almost be worth it just to see this board go into complete and utter meltdown. In fact I can picture it now:

Hope he gets to play at another club as I doubt he will be at Richmond
I was one of the few that always thought Jordie was a Tiger that offered something in our best 22, its now obvious he aint or wasnt suitable in the hardwick game plan. an fair enuff too.

Under Wallace Jordan was a 100% chipscab
who was instructed to run and carry @ every opportunity. when it come off he looked good
when it didnt he looked like a rabbit.

the modern day chipscab needs to be strong, tough and be able to run, mark&kick and hard too tag-see Lake, Hodge, Goddard, O'Brien, Gilbey, & Deledio etc.

Who cares if the chipscabs opponent kicks 4 goals as long as the scab is in the top 2 players on the ground his team always wins.

Would need his pay slashed but if can learn the dimma way, i would be happy if he remains a tiger.

I feel sorry for the bloke. I have never ever been so impressed to have met a footballer than when l met Jordan McMahon. I took my mates son to go and get his autograph one day and the genuineness that Sanchez displayed was enormous.

He may not end up playing AFL again, but the type of bloke that he is, he should be very proud of himself.

I'd take that over a football career any day.

He has been treated averagely this year, there are times he should have been in the team and to watch blokes like O'Reilly getting gimme games would have broken anyone. He is a gentleman and deserves respect. He has mine.

:)

I am sure Mcmahon is a nice fella and good on him for taking his predicament like a man but this does not hide the fact that he is not up to AFL standard. Todays game requires every player to be able to tackle, chase, shepherd, bump, spoil and all the other one percenters that are done for the team not the individual. Sorry Jordie but every time i see Callan Ward i shake my head and wonder what the hell was Wallace thinking!
