LOL... remember the Polly frenzy a couple of years back? The palpitations for them over McPharlin would put some of them in hospital... ;)

In a flash. No worries... :D

You'll have to chuck your 4th rounder in as a sweetener though. Actually, no, we'll chuck ours in instead. :p

Oh goody another Eagles v Frockers thread :)

Pavlova has been a great marking power up forward for you this year and I'm sure that you are aware that he leads the comp in this stat to date. Respect to him for that, but if you take a look at the whole stats list you would be very disappointed with what comes after.

I'll help you out with a cut and paste to save you searching. I'll even make it pretty (simple) for you with some fancy colours.

I thought the thread was someone who can mark up forward, not in the middle of the ground?? that 6.27 would be in either the forward 50 or defensive 50 would it not?

kidstyler seems to think he is, but i agree with you that he has played both back and forward for those marks.
Even so, Hansen has taken more grabs than any other player from Freo bar Pavlich, then you throw in Embley at 6.35 per game and it proves that we do have reasonable marking power up forward.

It's no big deal but just a responce to kidstylers comments that we are struggling in the "marking" departmant of our game.

Maybe he will learn to do a little research next time before he shoots his mouth off.

imagine 6.27 + 6.28 in the forward line. Embley takes most of his marks across the centre and Fletcher takes most in the back half. You are telling me you would prefer Lynch or Hansen to Mcpharlin? What a knob. If freo had your midfield mcpharlin would average 10-12 marks a game.

SNIP....

Unless you plan on transplanting your midfield to your forward line, I don't see what the point of that was E4E. I suppose you have to keep the nonsensical ramblings quota up though :p .

Come on, are you seriously saying you'd rather Lynch as a marking target than McPharlin? UNIT and the rest of your brains trust can go on about how the "Big Unit will start to pull those overhead marks in", but it's kind of like us saying "Dion WILL lay a sheperd or a tackle someday, lets keep him in the team" ;).

Of course i would have Pavlich or McPharlin any day before any of our tall forwards, but i suppose the point i was trying to prove (in responce to kidstylers post) is that the inclusion of Hansen in our forward line has certainly strightened up our spine and given us a target up forward. The lad has done well and relished the opportunity handed to him this year and can only get better.

As for Lynch, no, I'm still far from convinced that he is the man for FF, but with McDougall out of form and the injury to Smith, what would you do if you were JW? At least he's a big body, always gives 100%, and provides a contest which gives the small forwards a chance.

Yes, it must be terrible for Woosha to have the best attack in the competition. We really need your players to come and help us out. Maybe CC could come and give us some coaching tips as well.

Does this mean we don't get McPharlin. Oh well, looks like we will have to struggle on without him.
