McPhee is averaging 9 marks? Stokes (midget) at Geelong was averaging over 10 for the first few weeks. Maybe we should trade for him and he can be our CHF?

I would say McPhee is a better player than Hansen from WC, but their main usefulness when playing forward, is to lead hard and get hit on the chest or else they aren't much chop. I don't think how many marks someone takes is a good indication of marking ability in today's footy ( Again McPhee is a better contested mark than Hansen, who I have never seen take 1 to be honest )

If McPhee can present hard ( does this well ), mark, move the ball on..... I would be happy. And do people realize that some criticise him because not everyone likes what they see, leading to frustration. Myself included.

Agreed, I believe he trouble is he still THINKS like a backman. You can't take so long to sum up the options in the forward line. First instinct is usually the best option. Even get a bit hungry and take a few shots himself, he can kick it long.

Don't want to compare apples and oranges here, but we have all seen Lucas take possession and immediately wheel around with the assumption that his target is there abouts (usually the pegs). Macphee stops loiters and his head is telegraphing his indecision. So what does he do, invariably chip pass.

If Lucas gets caught with the ball you'll forgive him because usually you could see the intent. Mcphee just cannot earn that kind of credit with his deference.

I feel he is better than this but it is what he consistently does. When will he break the habit. And remember opposition players feed from it.

Its make or break. Positions will dry up for him despite having been more than handy now and in the past.

His hairdresser moves faster than he does with a ball

I have watched you blokes play a fair bit over the last few weeks and I notice that Knights is persisting with playing Mcphee up forward. Is he doing this simply because Lucas and to a lesser extent Lloyd is injured?

Because so far the bloke has appeared to be fairly ineffectual at playing that centre half forward role (correct me if I'm mistaken). He made his name playing in the back line and I reckon thats where he is suited. One of the commentators on the weekend mentioned that at some point in time Paddy Ryder will be played in the forward line. I reckon Knights should play McPhee at centre half back and Ryder at centre half forward for a few weeks while Lucas is out.

at last someone else sees the light.
