Just read that McPhee got reported for striking Harvey, causing Harvey to leave the field. What kind of incident was it, and is he likely to get multiple weeks?

Attempted spoil with the flight of the ball that ended up with with Harvey copping it on the face. Nothing malicious about it, but still, he's not exactly safe.

I reckon he's in trouble, took his eyes off the ball.

Yeah... thinking the same, Longy. The reverse angle showed him glancing at Harvey after following the flight of the ball. Never know with the tribunal..it seems squirrel punching (jab to the nads) isnt as serious.

Im guessing out for 2 at worst....fingers crossed.

I was thinkin 3!

I think he is in trouble but cant he appeal by saying he tried to hit him across the chest and therfore get a lesser penalty?

With Mc Phee possibly missing, our HB line is looking little shaky. Enter Cole:thumbsu:

I'll have a ping and say 2 with the early plea

He was aiming for his thigh.. the two were having a laugh about it minutes later...

If Kerr can get off with a nutbreaking blow like that then McPhee will be rewarded by the AFL with $5000:confused:

Yep. Should get off on appeal.

With the Kerr precendent, why can't he say he was aiming for the ball and missed?

could go either way, could get up to 3 or get off. I think that there are circumstances in this incident which give Essendon reasonable arguments and fair grounds to get McPhee off.

One match...pretty good considering how bad the incident looked.

I agree, I think Adam should very graciously accept his 1 week penalty.

It should be more, but with the current tribunal system i'm not suprised with a good record and an early plea that it was only 1.

Whats funnier is that it was reduced because of a clean record. Just thinking back about how undisciplined McPhee has been recently, its hard to fathom that he does have a clean record.

edit: bomber4life snuck in before this post making this one now slightly defunct

He certainly walks a fine line sometimes

Imagine how often Wally and Hardwick wouldve fronted the tribunal 5 years ago..I think once theyve served their time, it shouldnt factor into any future indescretion.
