Firstly, I don't want to see McPhee traded, however he needs to pull his finger out and start playing like we know he can.

Say he is out the door......If Carlton are losing Thornton to the Hawks then we could possibly tee up a trade with them for McPhee.

Give us pick 17 and you can have McPhee.

As much as i like McPhee playing in the Red n Black, Pick 17 looks so hot right now!

just trade jj and mcphee and 3rd round pick for del santo and a 2nd round draft pick from the saints

Harvey is playing on and Lenny Hayes will return at some stage. Why would they require JJ??

Are you kidding? what person in there right mind would trade a 22 yr old AA and B+F winner for a 2nd rd pick that just makes absolutely no sense at all.

Found it, wouldve thought he'd suit Melbourne more than Saints.

yeah the same, thats why i posted on stkilda's thread site why would u want him and really who would u trade for him because personally i think there good players are too good for him whilst there next generation are not in his class, i also dount they would trade their first round draft selection???

dont know why melbourne needs him either they need another kp forward because neitz is on the downward trend. gee i would be happy if they gave up miller or if we could somehow swindle it, rivers. id throw everything at them for rivers.

For those KP players youve mentioned, Id reluctantly accept JJ leaving us, but ID be hoping he STILL worth a second round draft pick. Tough to weigh up as I think JJ still has at least 2 years to offer us.

What would w ehave to offer to get Mcphee? Do not say 1st round pick. His not worth that much.

are u saying mcphee isn't the equivalent of say between pick 10-15???? your kidding us there. Shane Harvey was a first rounder in the super draft of 01 i wouldn't be placing draft picks that high. Mcphee is defintely worth a 1st round pick, he just had one bad season and was carrying an injury.

Well said. I don't care how good this draft is. In the 2001 superdraft shane harvey and graham polak were both in the top 10. They are nowhere near as good as McPhee who is coming of a season with injury niggles.

People have got to stop thinking that the 2006 draft will solve all their problems - the top 10 players will be 50/50 at best to become stars and they won't get there for at least three years.

exactly i cant believe people wanting to trade him for pick 17!! The draft will be good but the chances of getting an all australian and best and fairest at pick 17 is very very slim.

I agree that we need 2 keep McPhee,
If we cant, we need a 1st round or early 2nd round pick for him. Nothing later than that.

He's not going anywhere, regardless of our speculation.

If McPhee does leave... we better get a better pick for him than Carlscum will get for that useless troll Thornton!

McPhees far too good to let go for a late first round pick IMO.
I'd only consider a top 5 pick for him as he's already proven to be a bloody top player.
He had quiet year by his standards, but that could be due to the serious groin problems he had the season before. This could have effected his pre season for this year and still getting back to full fitness.
You don't lose the sort of ability he showed us he was capable of that quickly.

Your team needs class and experience, something your footy dept has missed with the mature age players it has drafted in recent times. Depsite being a query over McPhee having recovered from his injuries, he's definitely worth a first round pick to any side looking to fill a role and hit the ground running.
