Fyfe's played 3 games.

Mcphee what 150 plus?

Mcphee also failed to do the team things when it mattered, he refused to lay a sheppard, he then ran his man into Fyfe's space leading to a turnover. He also spoiled Silvanghi, when there was no need.

Fyfe's game was not good, it was a real wake up call and eye opener I would imagine, but to compare the two is folly.

I don't give a shit how many games they've played. They are either good enough to be in the 22 or not. Disagree with you on the Fyfe/McPhee spoiled mark.. I think it was McPhee's mark and fyfe as the smaller, more nimble player should have stayed down. I'd have to look at it on the replay.

Hypocrite. You bag the shit out of a guy like Schammer for his disposal efficiency and believe he shouldn't get a game because of it, then when McPhee has 100% DE and other players are sub 50%, you cry that it's not all about DE........wtf?

If you can find a post I've made about disposal efficiency in regards to Schammer I will send you a lollypop.

My criticism with Schammer has always been his depth of kicking and his decision making. Like all the crabs of past Freo games.

Watch the games tit. Even you will notice the positives. I could point out that sick chain of handballs and then kick to Pav against Richmond, but there is no point. You don't want to see any positives, so you wont.

I'd rebut and say, he has had 2-3 bad games this season.

What does McPhee bring that grover doesn't? Run, which is a core reason for us doing so well this year.
Amazingly ridiculous statement

What use is DE effiency when your actions, or inaction directly lead to multiple opposition goals?

So, despite Fyfe kicking more goals in fewer games than McPhee this year, he has been shitter?

Good argument. Also good to see the old school 'give an old crab a break' culture persists among supporters.

Sweet lord.

You really think a bloke running back with the flight of the ball has right of passage as opposed to a leading forward?

Played the game?

How many players tonight, through whatever avenue, made balls ups that cost us goals?

How many of them have a troll thread dedicated to them?

The Emo crew fan favourites can miss goals from 15m in front, and there isn't a word, but if McPhee loses a man on man contest which results in a goal, the proverbial hits the fan.

That's not my point. My point is you are quick to slip the boot into your Freo scapegoats that you don't like, and defend your little favourites. All with very little substance or fact to back it up.

Which man on man contests did he lose that we are criticising him for?

He certainly screwed a few that our teammates had covered by spoiling them with his dumb play as third man up.

Plenty to back it up. A number of incidents in this thread have been documented where he screwed up crucial passages of play that either stopped goals for us or resulted in goals for them.

That kind of '**** up when it counts' play isn't recorded on the stat sheet. It might not even involve a possession. But McPhee was number one for them all.

So tell me how many of our players actions led to turnover opposition goals? I couldn't count them from memory.

Well Mcphee had 3 alone in the third.

And JMF, I havent contested the marking contest he lost against Cloke was a negatigive, that can happen to anyone.

My issue in particular was his lack of sheppard, it was meek, after dishing off to Broughton, he allowed a Collingwood past him when he could have prevented it, and Broughton was dumped.

This inaction on his part caused a turnover and goal.

His effort running into Fyfe's space was terrible, that's school boy stuff.

To use the word unforgivable is completely acceptable.

Yep, I have.. but I've only seen the incident from at the game. Which is why I said that I "might have to look at it on the replay". Did you care to read that?

Some of us go and watch the game live. Then we get a better look when we watch the replay. Try it sometime Armchair Boy.

The Brisbane game (where I don't remember him making a single stuff up) showed what he was capable of doing for our club, but it's just a shame that he can't do it consistently... I honestly thought he had turned the corner after that, but I'm all for a quick spell in the WAFL for him to find his feet (literally). In the meantime, we could do a lot worse than bringing in Kep - was very unlucky to be dropped IMO.

Lol.

Putting a disclaimer at the end of your post like that doesnt excuse you from suggesting Fyfe shoulve stayed down because he is more nimble.

Balla's could be leading up at the footy, with Pav coming the other way, it would still be Balla's ball.

And Hoss, let's drop the name calling, if you havent already realised, I was at the game. :thumbsu:

My arguement with your statement is this part: MCPHEE OFFERING MORE AS A RUNNING PLAYER IS THE CORE REASON WE ARE DOING SO WELL.

Now that is ridiculous

That is a terrible mis representation of my statement. Read my ****ing post again.

Here, i'll even type it again for you.

What does McPhee offer that Grover doesnt? Run, which is a core reason why we are doing so well this year.

Which part don't you agree with:

That McPhee offers more run than Grover.

or

That our run, is one of the main reasons why we are doing so well this season?

Mcphee has been consistantly bad and fumbled in most of the games he has played this year, both NAB cup and also proper season.
We have given him credit in a couple of games and felt that he has improved only because in those games he didn't make too many f+++ ups.
The fact of the matter is any other player performing like that would not be in the team.
If we are to proceed as a successfull club EVERYONE should be given the same opportunity and played on their merits and rewarded for consistant performance.

Cool, so which part of that statement didn't you agree with?

Well i think Ibbo was given preferential treatment to be included this week, without working his way through a couple of weeks of WAFL.

Ok so bottom line would you pick Mcphee in the team to play Sydney based on his performance (not only last night but past 8 games)
