McPhee

Well gee he's either 2nd or 3rd on the team in tackles (led the team today) not something you associate with a tall.
Angus Graham ring a bell?

So he's there to tackle and thats it? Surely we can get Byron "Tackle Machine" Schammer in to do that then, atleast he kicks it better than McPhee.

I love you too, you clown. You kept on harping about Dave Mundy's tackle count last year when he went through his patch of poor form. Interestingly, even in his very average 2010 McPhee has out-tackled Mundy, and all with a better disposal efficiency.
No I didn't. I was pointing out his tackle count to those who said he was not tackling.

Showing your lack of smarts there Brades, you'd now rather have Angus Graham on the team than Adam McPhee. That is a laugher.

Graham did that in a bog where no one could run away from him. Confused much?

Geezzz guys, I’m McPhee’s biggest critic but I think it’s time to give the man a break. I was embarrassed today with Freo supporters giving him the broxs cheer when he took a mark (under pressure I might add) Time to build a bridge and get over it. We are having our best season ever, just enjoy it.

I can totally see the exact words that say "I want Angus Graham in my team ahead of Adam McPhail"

I can't believe I really wrote that. How silly of me.

PS: Adam called and asked me to tell you to go back to bed with him.

Did you even notice Hayden's superb effort on Lindsay Thomas today?

Anybody who bronx cheers any Fremantle player should just give up on life. I'd recommend that we line 'em up and shoot them all but that'd be a waste of perfectly good bullets.

Poor McPhee!

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for him, he's a walking talking turn over machine!

Spiced up the crowd around us though, every time he got the ball there was added interest in what would happen. Quite funny but sad at the same time.

Hopefully he can play another decent game again some time soon otherwise it's gunna get ugly for him. More and more supporters are losing patience with him each and every week, it's like a monster wave gathering momentum.

I gather nobody being critical actually watched McPhee play today? One out of bounds on the full and one other mistake that I saw. Disposal efficiency of 82%. 22 disposals, 7 tackles (2 more than anybody else), 6 marks and a lot of excellent work in the clinches. Bloody good game. McPhee has played 2 - 3 poor games, 2 - 3 good games and the others have been serviceable. It's about time people got off his case as apart from displaying a bias that is bordering on pathological, they are sounding ill-informed, tiresome and pathetic. Get over yourselves.

He played a good game today.

yeah he did alright today. He is having the effect around the ground that I reckon Harvey was looking for when we got him. It's all good and getting better.

On another note both he and Duff were standing side by side for a while in the last quarter I think in the roos forward zone.

I did a bit of a double take because Duff looked to be a lot bigger than than anti virus by a fair margin.

I checked their stats on the Freo site and Duff was listed 30mm shorter. I reckon Duff has grown a bit this year.

Hey Billy - Bronx cheers or no Bronx cheers, if Adam McPhee is the worst and most hated player on our team at 2nd on the ladder, 8 - 2 and 127.82%, then cheer away, kids!

I said the same last week about a Sydney win - we're a long way from having asshats like Gilmore, Murphy and Josh Head playing for us, and the boys look like they're enjoying their year.

Well done to Mcphee today I thought he played reasonably well. I have been pushing to have him regain form in the WAFL but on todays, and to a lesser degree last weeks efforts I see him easily holding his spot. Just hope his gradual improvement continues.
Also good effort by Ibbo today showed some heart and some of his work was superb.
Moving off those to guys maybe our next target should now be Hayden as he really has been extremely casual in the last few games topped of by his lame effort today.
Looks to just cruising or maybe injured. The bar is set very high with Roger and I guess for a guy of his ability you would expect a bit more.

We should be happy we have a player versatile enough to play on a tall when needed and can kick goals. He often gets a tough job and usually does it well. keep on going mcphee.

as soon as they moved him into the half back line, he played some amazing football..

i hope he turns out like a tarrent and we discover he is an amazing defender rather then a shocking full forward (where he wants to play)..

McPhee put his body on the line and did alot of very good link work. He is a vital member of the team because he is versatile. Well done to him for putting his head down and continuing to work hard whilst getting bronx cheers. Why would you bronx cheer him ????, a seagull, yes, but a worker at the coalface ??!!!.

Ok, all you f***ing pundits, here are the stats for disposals, efficiency and efffective disposals for out top possession winners today

Mundy 31d DE 65% Effective disposals 20
Duffield 27d DE 89% Effective disposals 24
Fyfe 24d DE 59% Effective disposals 16
De Boer 24d DE 67% Effective Disposals 16
Crowley 23d DE 65% Effective disposals 15
Ibbo 23d DE 78% Effective disposals 18
Palmer 22d DE 68% Effective disposals 15
McPhee 22d DE 82% Effective disposals 18
Bradley 21d DE 86% Effective disposals 18

So McPhee was the third highest in effective disposals. That means he either turned over less, and created less opportunity for the opposition than 19 other blokes on the park. Throw in his 7 tackles - 2 more than anybody else in a Freo jumper today, half a dozen marks and and couple of clearances, plus his standard bullocking and blocking work that he does very well and it is a pretty good game. In fact it is a bloody good game. Same as last week. Don't give me this "serviceable" crap. He was amongst our best today.

im sick of having to defend him to people. people who really watch football, and understand the game see his real worth and value to our young side, anyone else isnt worth the bother i have now concluded. good post selgaad. says it all :thumbsu:
