Yeah but that was a fanboi. He has posted many Meatloaf performances. Patti was fine so there was no problem with the acoustics. Even if you couldn't hear, I'd imagine your timing would be off but you could still hold a tune.

I hope for his sake something was terribly wrong and he can pull it together in time for his concerts.
 
How is it that on GF day this thread has 298 responses. More than than any other thread bar the GF thread (and nearly half as many as that)?

Maybe meatloaf should have pulled out. he sung out of tune. Glad i got to see what he sings like live these days. I won't be going to any of his concerts anytime soon. He has clearly lost his singing voice.

Well if he can still sing and something incredibly bizarre occurred, he needs to go into damage control. Blame something, then appear somewhere for an impromptu performance after tipping off the media.

When is his next concert?

There was six listings yesterday. I'm not sure this will be as damaging for him as you're making it out to be.

From 6:20-6:40 I've heard karaoke better than that. Just sounded like an old bloke trying to wheeze out a story.

His pitch was constantly going up and down out of tune.

I thought to myself "is there something wrong with him, is he 'special' or something?"

meats voice is not what it was, and hasnt been for a few years.

pattis voice is spot on and the band is good. his concerts will be fina as he is still a performer and knows the arrangenet has to make up for his voice.

contrast that with elton john a cople of years back who basically shouted his songs and was too tight to hire backing singers, especially female ones (no surprises !)

I'm looking forward to the real concert, you cant appreciate him in 12 minutes.
