So everyone's sooking about what the AFL spends their money on ?...or are they sooking about what the AFL spends THEIR money on ??If the AFL is going to pay a substantial amount of money for an act to appear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with people expecting a quality performance from that act.
And that's essentially what this discussion boils down to.
Eskimo Joe are a good band, currently much better than MeatloafSo everyone's sooking about what the AFL spends their money on ?...or are they sooking about what the AFL spends THEIR money on ??
Just be thankful they didn't follow the NRL's lead and got ( UGH ) ESKIMO JOE...who i think played LAST years GF....and the one before that....and the one..

God i wish plan B was put in place.Rumored to be pulling out due to the weather. Was just reported on Channel 10.
Bloody hell. Toughen up mate. We've paid big bucks for you to come.
Having said that I can't wait to find out what Plan B is if he doesn't go on.![]()
Just searched through some live performances on youtube, and it appears that Meatloaf has been ordinary live for a long time. All of his 2010/2011 performances were as bad as yesterday. Back in 1998, you can see signs of his voice going, and even in 1987 when he was only 40, he improvised some of his notes.
Seems that he has never been a studio perfect live performer vocally and that the music and the performance overcomes that. Just goes to show how brilliantly engineered the Bat Out of Hell album was. There were clips of a live performance at the time of release but they didn't really do video clips back then so that live performance was probably the engineered studio piece because it was flawless and powerful.
I'm feeling really sorry for the guy because this is his bread and butter. I'm not sure whether I feel sorry for the backups and the band as they know he has lost it, but are they supporting him or using him for a paycheck?
Oh i'm sorry...i hadn't heard that Eskimo Joe had the 5th highest selling album of all time......Eskimo Joe are a good band, currently much better than Meatloaf
Welcome to 2011 poindexter.
Are you slow?Oh i'm sorry...i hadn't heard that Eskimo Joe had the 5th highest selling album of all time......
Do you understand the word "currently"?Oh i'm sorry...i hadn't heard that Eskimo Joe had the 5th highest selling album of all time......
Absolutely the AFL should be accountable for the money it spends. So everyone's sooking about what the AFL spends their money on ?...or are they sooking about what the AFL spends THEIR money on ??
Now that's a different issue, that comes down to musical taste. When it comes to taste it wouldn't matter who performed, you wouldn't make everyone happy.Just be thankful they didn't follow the NRL's lead and got ( UGH ) ESKIMO JOE...who i think played LAST years GF....and the one before that....and the one..
Haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Absolute gold.![]()
Yes, if you are going to torment the crowd, you may as well torment them for 8 full minutes without breaking for another song.
How much was big loaf on 60-80 k really that's the biggest waste of money since forever.
Come on everybody, I want The Loaf back every year.
