I want a player that wants to play, and when dropped is angry and storms out.

Med's is a passionate person, one that wears his heart on his sleeve.

Hopefully Paul helps our VFL team into the Grand Final with a BOG performance and is back next week.
Damn,
Medders was my early Norm Smith selection.
Should get some good odds on GF day now, Hope you have a VFL blinder on Saturday Medders.

One of my mates is an old school friend of Paul Medhurst.

He was telling me last night that Medders was fuming when Mick broke the news that he wouldnt be playing this weekend. Apparently he knew a day or so before it broke in the media, and Mick met with him to tell him the news face to face.

Medders has not taken this well, and stormed out of the meeting.

There is some talk (although not from Medders might I add) that Medders may ask for a trade because of all this.

Do you think Mick made the right call? Medders kicked three goals against the Cats last time around, and he is one of those guys that can be totally out of form for weeks, and then suddenly turn it around and kick a bad the next week.

Interesting dillema. Good luck against the Cats - hope you guys smash them.

So let me get this right.......................
Your mate, who is an old school friend of Medders, got wind of the fact that Medders stormed out of a meeting that was undetaken behind closed doors, with no-one else around? Was he watching on a covertly placed webcam?

What a sicko.

Old school firend to me screams someone who went to school with someone else. They didn't really talk, just said hi around the lockers. The "mate" went off to the library to study whilst Medders went behind the bike shed with the hotties. At the end of school the two went their seperate ways, Medders towards a professional sporting career whilst the mate gauged a respectible career designing webcams and talking of the days that he was an old school "friend" of Paul Medhurst.

So, if the "storm out" didn't come from Medhurst, who did it come from? Caro? Is she an old "flame"?

My girlfriends, sister, boyfriends, dad's, cousin, son's, girlfriends dog, who happens to be friends with Paul medhurst's dog heard the exact opposite, and that meddas understood why he has been dropped and doesn't want to leave but train harder to regain his form. Wonder who to believe.

Wouldn't suprise me if he stormed out after being told he was dropped, it would be pretty shattering. The key for him now is how he handles himself leading up to the game and next week if we make it.

I'd be very disappointed if he asked to be traded because of this but I highly doubt this is true.

haha he was my pick aswell, I thought he was going to turn it on in finals and rip teams apart. I thought he had shown just enough glimpses of class in the last few H&A games to suggest he could have had a big finals series. I guess I was seeing things that might not have been there due to knowing how good and valuable he can be when on song.

Medhurst is playing in the TWO'S tomorow, my mate is a trainer at the club and he said that Medhurst has taken it well and is going to focus on having a good game in the twos tomorrow and put him self up for selection the following week if we make it. Bullshit thread!!!!

Paul and Jack (also) need to learn to adapt to flooding footy.

The days of sitting in the goal square and doing your business is over.

You have to learn how to pressure up the field, and then be able to push back and place yourself in space anywhere forward of centre.

Meds was at training today I believe, so I hope he can go and flog the duds at VFL level and come back into a AFL GF. What more inspiration do you need.

Well if he did respond to being cut by stroming out he has some passion.
It's how he returned which is more important.
im glad if it's true he was peed off
i would rather he be really upset than just saying thats ok coach its only a prelim plus i didnt do much of the pre-season so i probably dont deserve a spot

Storm in a tea cup. Medders knows he's the man when he's in form so I figure he will get over it. Would he be able to play in the twos tomorrow?

Maybe he is just a name-dropper that made it up.

Well that definitely sounds made up to me. Why would a player give himself even less chance to be recalled for the Grand Final if Collingwood beats Geelong?

I find it very unlikely that he would have turned his form around in the space of a week, and I'm sure he understands that he deserved to be dropped. If he plays well today, and if Collingwood beats Geelong, then I'm sure he is aware that he more than likely comes back in to the team.

Of course it is unsupported made-up rubbish.

Absolutely! Bad decision making by the coaching staff. Plus of course your gonna be in bad form when the ball goes over your head all the time
Agree with this - Medders is definitely down on form but I don't think the delivery he's received at times has helped.

He kicked that goal to get us within one point. Without that goal we would be watching Cats Vs Crows tonight.
What rubbish logic.

Perhaps if Dawes played instead, he would have kicked a couple and the game would be won well before Brown would have kicked the goal.

You're assuming Brown's replacement would play equally as shit as him.

Just interesting to note, I sat amongst the VFL group at last nights prelim and the only players from the squad I didn't notice there was Paul Medhurst.

Probably just a coincidence.
