This is the point that always gets lost. It is not supposed to be a level playing field. Spot on.

Yes, but apparently that has nothing to do with the situationHaven't we been denied a 'run' on the MCG at previous finals there ?
I was listening to (D)Wayne's show just then, and some posh sounding Melbourne supporter called into give his support to "Luke", claiming its not a level playing field in the Port v Dogs game this week.
I wonder if this chap thinks its a level playing field that, in any normal season, his "Dees" would get the grand final on the ground they call home?
West Coast also got ****ed over by that rule in 1996, after thrashing Carlton in the first week and having to travel to Melbourne to play the lower ranked Essendon, who had lost to Brisbane. Essendon won and very nearly made the GF, falling to Plugger's famous point after the siren in the PF.In 1999,
• Carlton finished 6th,
• Got smashed at the Gabba by 12 goals,
• Survived because 7th and 8th also lost,
• But received a home semi because the 5th-ranked Eagles — who had just travelled to Melbourne and upset the 4th-ranked Dogs — were ranked below the victorious Lions in week 2, meaning they’d fall afoul of the contract requiring one final to be played at the MCG regardless,
• Having thrown everything at the Dogs the week before, the Eagles are out of juice from the off and Carlton cruise through to the Prelim against Essendon, and we all know what happened there.
Who seriously batted an eyelid about that injustice except guys and gals like us. All the carns. All of them.

Please, wont somebody think of "their own beds"!!!
Put out your own beds
Remember in the 2013 pre-season when Ports were being relocated to Tasmania and Kenny Hinkley single handedly turned the Spirit of Tasmania around mid Bass Strait with nothing more than some bailing twine and a bent star dropper.“It’s a miracle what he’s done with that sh¡t’eap!”
I reckon Nicola is still upset that the Brisbane Bullets didn't beat the Bullfrogs last week.I'm sure Nicola thinks they can set up some hoops in the hotel gym and they can have a few throws for goal there.
Anyway sucks to be them, it's about time someone in SA made a decision that benefits Port.
So what you are saying is because I hate cats that I can eradicate them from the earth by listening? Still cannot do it.every time you willingly tune into "Dwayne's World", a cute kitten dies
3. ABC journalistsPeople most likely to say ‘Port Power’:
1. 40-80 year old Port women
2. SANFL diehards past and present who pronounce ‘football’ as “fuhbwohl”
It’s like the Lost Cause of Dixie.
Just like the good old days when you turned the hot water off in the opposition change roomsThis will be lapped up by the Victorian media looking for another angle on the hard done by Victorian teams. Also feeds perfectly into the storyline that is being perpetuated locally that we have been gifted a run at the flag.
Channel 7 Adelaide News are no doubt searching through the SA Health car park looking for any PAFC paraphernalia in back seats etc. I understand that someone with a comb over matching Mike Smithson's was seen wandering the car park with a handful of 'PortPower' stickers attaching them to random vehicles.
