“There’s 16-20 weeks off a year, you get to play sport for a living, keep fit and there’s not that many downsides,” Cornes said. “If one of the downsides every now and then, once every two or three years, you’re subject to some really strong criticism, as my career went on you understand that’s part and parcel of it.”
That may well be the case Kane.
However, when multiple outlets do the same thing, to a 19-20yr old player, relentlessly for almost two years - don't you think that's perhaps pushing the boundaries of what is appropriate. HE'S A KID, FFS!

On SEN this morning they were talking about how ridiculous it is that clubs' are offering essentially free memberships and how that artificially inflates membership totals.
Kane said membership totals are bs and we should look at attendances when clubs' are doing poorly to find the most popular teams. Not for the first time he said that WC fans are the best in the league because we get 50k even when we're at the bottom of the ladder.

The West is 90% written by AI. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets to 100% in the next 12 months.
The best number would be total membership revenue. I suspect we blow most clubs well out of the water, considering we sell about 50k seats out every year (between full seated members and flexi), plus get wait list revenue.
