She had numerous os trips on private jets. It takes a special sort of muppet to take anything she says at face value.

As for racism: only one royal in recent times has been accused of it.

Not sure ‘restrictive duties’ was mentioned much. The viciousness of the media was many times. And disappointment the ‘firm’ couldn’t or wouldn’t address it

Drivel. The media fawned over here and even gushed over the utterly absurd wedding. She was treated far better than Camilla and Fergie.

Andrew's wife got a hard time as well.

Of course it will. It is really quite inconsequental stuff, despite the media hype and overblown analysis.

This. She is barely a footnote in history. Just a ten second pimple on the backside a monarchy that hasnt lost a home game since 1066.

Serious? Hardly Mary queen of Scots.

Not so sure that will be the public perception. Eugenics has a bit of a bad reputation...

Eugenics was loved by the left.

Forced sterilisations in Scandinavia have shocked the world. But the great founding fathers of British socialism, reports Jonathan Freedland, had dreams almost as vile as those of the Nazis

HTFU princess then (or duchess). I said that was the main line of complaining. That’s a fact I was responding to a post that ‘restrictive duties’ was the complaint

Goes both ways. Is it that hard to believe that a narcissistic vacuous failed Hollywood A lister would not have the propensity to exaggerate, and in some cases totally make up, events in order to portray herself as the victim and therefore win the sympathy of the public over the monarchy; an institution that has a set of protocols that have been established over centuries and that Markle wanted special treatment from in the way of exemptions from those restrictions?

Something that no other royal has had the privilege of being granted? Thinks very highly of herself this Markle does, no excuse she didn't know anything about it, as she claims.

The least she could have done before joining the British monarchy was to do a bit of homework to understand what she was getting herself into. The ranga's past girlfriends broke up with him exactly for those reasons, they couldn't handle the overwhelming attention and the restrictive duties they were expected to perform.

So? Who isn't? I've come across a number of African Americans who've expressed and/or displayed some obvious 'bigoted' behaviour but absolutely detest being called out on it because in their mind being a person of 'colour' means they're a minority and therefore they lack the power/agency/etc... that a person that belongs to a European majority population of a particular country can inflict on those of non-European backgrounds and that absolves them from 'racism' of dodgy remarks/behaviour in their twisted logic.

In fact Markle herself displays some cringeworthy behaviour, strongly alluding in comments that she wishes to be perceived as 'white' even though she has no problems playing up her African background when it is convenient to do so. It also wouldn't surprise me if she has had some slight cosmetic surgery to 'smooth' her African features and appear more European. In photos when she was in her teens it's pretty clear she has black ancestry with frizzy hair and other noticeable African facial characteristics that over time seemed to have been smoothed out somewhat.

Photo in here suggests her mum might have, but her ‘features’ are less pronounced than either parent, from a youngish age I’d say

You forgot tosh. Anyway this ‘monarchy’ won in 1066

The monarchy line has changed repeatedly but the institution has survived (almost) untouched.

NB Edwards wife was told to drop the private profit stuff.

The Normans didnt stuff about. Unlike the Brits in Australia they were hardly benevolent conquerors to the natives.

And documented the damage a few years later

Charles grounded. What’s the odds on him being passed over now? There’s plenty of precedent

When you get down to it, he’s hardly a physical figure. Elizabeth was young when she took over, we watched her grow old. She might outlive him anyway, he looks like he’s getting too much port and pheasant

I don't see him taking over the Queen.

The Royals will eventually let Prince William to be the next King

You don’t have long in-depth conversations with the toddler kicking and screaming throwin a tantrum in the corner. Just say a few words and walk away. Let them kick and scream in silence

Charles ain’t that bad...

Thought he looked pretty good the other day actually.

No they won’t.

The Queen has no power to designate her successor. Succession to the throne in each of the Commonwealth realms is governed both by common law and statute. The Act of Settlement, as well as the Bill of Rights which govern the succession is British and Australian law.

The succession to the British crown and each other realm including Australia is by absolute primogeniture (which does not distinguish sex as a succession criterion) under which succession passed first to the monarch's or nearest dynast's legitimate children in order of birth and their legitimate issue, again in order of birth. Descendants inherit before collateral relatives.

So barring untimely death the order of succession will remain as follows

1. Charles Prince of Wales
2. William Earl of Cambridge
3. George
4. Charlotte
5. Louis
6. Harry Duke of Sussex
7. Archie

Charles will NOT be passed over in favor of William.

Or lied to the public and unleashed chaos, then ran off when it got too tough.

He’s a drunken lightweight flim-flam man appealing to the worst side of humanity.
Yep Farage was/is just another grifter that attracted all sort of dregs and dropouts to his side.

You'd have to be pretty clueless if you're still a Farage devotee!
