Matchups? Predictions? How the match will unfurl?

IMO I'm not sure how to match up on McPharlin and Pavlich because last time McPharlin got 4 in the first quarter then Rivers held him to 1 after that but Pavlich ripped us apart. No doubt there will be a resting ruck down there and we will keep Carroll in unless we are stupid but I'm not sure who to put him on.

If the weather's fine it will probably be a shootout like earlier in the season. I hope the weather is fine considering what happened when the rain came last year against the demons at Subi.

Both sides have quality forwards and average backlines. If Parker gets Neitz then who plays on Robertson and Yze? Johnson and Polak don't have the pace to go with Neitz, and Thornton doesn't have the strength, so I think Parker has to get the job. Polak on Holland. Thornton on Robertson, Mundy or Grover on Yze. Crowley to tag the out of form Bruce and run off him.

Hopefully if Melbourne play a loose man in defence he is manned up because the demons are a side that could really outrun us.

You forgot Davey, I think Hayden will come in. The back line might look like
Polak on Holland, Parker on Neitz, Grover on Davey, Thornton on Robertson, Hayden on Yze and Mundy to pick up the other forward Bruce or Maclean etc.
I believe it will be a shoot out and we will drop a forward back as insurance.

Walker would be better suited to tagging Davey, but he couldn't do it for 4 quarters. He'd have to be used wisely if he was to come in. CC hinted last night that at least 2 of the 3 (walker, carr and hayden) would come in this week, Hayden the most likely to be called on. He also said Polak was straight back in.

Yeah I forgot Davey. If Hayden or Walker come in either one will get him. Yze might be too good in the air for Hayden, and although Grover was good last week I don't think he would have the pace to keep up with Davey. Peake or Schammer should get Davey if neither Walker or Hayden play.

Since half time against the crows (round14) we have kicked about 57 goals.

In the corresponding time the Dees have kicked about 27 goals.

We have conceded about 67 scoring shots.

Dees have conceded about 87 scoring shots.

Dees have been a bit fragile defensively all year. This became apparent prior to our encounter earlier when we won the shoot out.

They cant win a shootout againts us at Subi.

I expect they will try to choke us this week relying on the bombers style against us of man on man pressure waiting for the mistake. I hope so anyway. We have to able to withstand that sought of tactic.

In fact our game should be modified to do some of our own choking. Force a close checking game because if we get through the dees on Sun, Darth who was the master of choking tactics will definately try to close us down the following week and we should be sending a message we can play both kinds of footy.

Here is the a link to the coastal radar image from perth.

Looks like its gonna be a great day to go to the footy.

For our friends and foes elsewhere. The weather in perth is currently overcast no wind, misty rain this morning about 16 degrees. Looking at the radar image and reading the forecast for today doesnt look like rain will be a factor towards todays outcome.
