On that note - Blackas87, you can either match the bid and oblige to use pick 3 on Viney, or pass.

I think we can almost assume Daniher at 11, being a bargain...so after that's sorted, I reckon we can start.

Can Melbourne wait to make sure Daniher is going to Essendon? Whitfield is a top talent that we'll have to consider if Daniher goes number 1

Well that doesn't make my decision any easier because it already is the easiest decision I have ever made.

I said Melbourne will take the best player available, and they will.

With pick 3 Melbourne will take this kid
Jack+Viney+TAC+Cup+Grand+Final+Sandringham+JD8caTfiVP0l.jpg

Thats right, that guy is just a kid, a beast of a kid.

With out a doubt he is the best midfielder and most determined player in this draft, thats right i said the best.

Whitfield might be able to run all day but Viney would smash him to pieces in a one on one contest, the only reasons why he is not touted as number one is because of his not so great kicking and his height, well his height actually helps his style of play and well no point being a good kick if you can't get the ball, With Viney's detrmination he'll end up one of the best kick going around anyway. Also his hard immense attack on the footy is the best we haver ever seen come through the u18 ranks.

Melbourne are getting a bargin at pick number 3.

Viney's actually a very reliable kick - kind of like how Selwood was/is.
He is not the worst kick, but not up there with others in this draft, I read that recruiters are looking for ellite skills in this years draft and that is the main reason why he is not rated at the same level as Whitfield, without a doubt his hard attack on the footy is miles ahead of anyone in this draft which I rate higher than skills, I rate him higher than Whitfield.

St Kilda are incredibly miffed by the loss of B. Goddard, and would like to petition the AFL (@Eth ) for their deserved tier 1 compensation pick.

I'm guessing I should just go?
GWS Pick #1:
Lachlan Whitfield; 184cm, 74kg; Dandenong Stingrays
Has extremely good fitness, can run all day, and beautiful skills which should make him a very damaging 'outside' midfielder. Apparently hasn't got much of an inside game at the moment, although that has developed quite a bit over the past year. I was actually thinking of picking Grundy, as I'm not sure the Giants' ruck stocks are that flash, particularly if Giles' leaves and I think they are well placed for mids. Regardless, Whitfield is widely seen as the best player in the draft, largely due to his fitness, work rate and skills and I think he should really complement some of the Giants' other young mids. Ward, Greene, Scully, Coniglio, Hoskin-Elliott, Whitfield etc are the makings of a very strong, balanced and deep midfield.

Considering the exact compo (not just for Goddard who we can assume is tier 1) for Moloney and Pearce as well as whoever else may or may not move on's yet to be decided, plus that there's bound to be FA movements throughout the length of this draft...it's hard to implement.

And yeah, we're good to go. Daniher and Viney locked in as first-rounders, Whitfield at 1 - Andy_Mac, you're up.

Also, I assume no more bids for Hunter and/or Stewart?

When's it my turn to bid?
I'm Adelaide.
You can bid whenever before the pick you nominate for the bid...but sooner rather than later.
