Autopsy Melbourne board feedback thread

I know I don't contribute much, but this is something that annoys me. I think often we jump the gun and assume the worst of opposition supporters and start handing out bans when I don't think it's necessary.

I've see some bans/abuse handed out to what I thought were some pretty well meaning posts/posters.

Every contribution is welcome, regardless of how much you post.

Agreed. Sometimes I think the mods on this board are too quick to warn opposition posters on this board and threaten bans.

All for warning the legitimate trolls, but not those here to have genuine discussions, even if their viewpoint is different to ours.

Idk about bans, but some posters on here are pretty quick to jump down opposition supporters throats if they are offering anything but praise. Just an observation.

For the most part it's only when they resort to degrading us because we're shit and using that as an argument that the mods get tired of it I think, which is justified.

One thing for next season that you could think about changing are the Autopsy threads. Not sure if Good, Bad and Ugly is the best way to do it. A more general approach to the thread would work better IMO.

As mentioned that is simply a guide & for a laugh as we know there is no 'good' or 'bad' when we play.

Follow whatever review format you wish.

Currently doing a top job, can always rely on this board to add some levity no matter how bad things have become.

This, along with our ability to tolerate opposition supporters visiting makes us the best team board on BF in my opinion.

I think we extend a high degree of latitude, even to those who are pushing the boundaries & can tell you for certainty that card aren't indiscriminately handed out.

Most often posts are deleted & they are told to run along. At times we give a thread ban but thats as much to frustrate them. Trolls hate not being able to respond when our quick witted posters turn it on them.

But you suggestion has been taken on board & we'll discuss it.

Seriously, though, the Dees board is pretty great. The big concerns I have on BF are with the direction of moderating on the Main Board and the continual leaking of Bay 13.

I guess the one thing I've been noticing lately (and it's not necessarily something you guys would have thought about) is how other clubs on their MB have got their own backgrounds around the forum stuff. Nothing major, but it's there. Go to the Dons board for an example. Would there be some way of implementing something similar here? Put Chunk on one side and Grimes on the other similar to the MFC website with Jones and Viney?

Are there any actual females on this board?

I know that I enjoy various posters avatars (yes, I am actually looking at you Cannon82).

I'm not looking to pick up, just curious as to whether the lack of females is an indicator of our club supporters, our board, BigFooty in general?

How could we attract more and retain them? I'm working from the premise that more would be better obviously.
