Torcedor looks like the typical one pace grinder they used to send 20 years ago. I'd give it none.

Light Pillar is running in the last at Ascot on Saturday night
As is Thomas Hobson
Watch him shorten big time due to the "Red Cadeaux" factorRed Verdon likely to be heading down here for the Cups. Ran a solid second in the Hardwicke but it was a small field. Was flogged by Magic Circle the start prior. It looks like his rating is 109 - not sure he’d be guaranteed to get in to the Melbourne Cup with that.

Melbourne Cup Max FB page now talking up Withold - wins a 2 mile race in Newcastle now favourite on antepost markets
Prince of Arran also ran 2nd in Belmont cup (race Red Cardinal won last year) don't know much about it though
Rekindling and Johannes Vermeer not likely to come because of "too much weight". Its a sad day when having 56 or 57 kgs is too much weight to carry for a race worth $7.3 million. If the prize money wont get the best field then racing has gone right off the rails.
Laughable - Northumberland Plate form has never been anywhere near good enough for the Melbourne Cup when it was run on turf let alone now when it has been switched to all-weather.
On pacer too which is generally an awful racing style for Flemington.
Lay of the century at current prices - absolute poison.
Says the bloke that couldn’t find Rekindling on the day after 3/4 of the forum tipped him into it. Crikey.
You better hurry up and delete your posts before I find something.
Cross Counter does look an excellent prospect, especially if it gets in with a light weight
