Ok. Lets see how this goes. In this thread we will collectively give our opinions on each runners chances at the same time.

Beginning at 8pm, i'll allocate 5mins per runner for everyone to have their say.

In order for the thread to be easier to read, please only post your thoughts on each runner and leave quoting etc until the end.

Hope enough of us will be able to join the discussion!

Please like this post if you are interested. See you at 8pm tomorrow night!

Are we waiting for each runner to be listed or...

I will list each runner one at a time and then we have 5mins to comment on that runner before we move on to the next.

At the end, we can go back and quote previous posts for further discussion.

Also at the end, we should all name our top4 selections

Don't all talk at once!

Shall we play it, give each runner your rating out of 10 and why?

Best Solution - 6.5/10

Has the class of Goldophin and CC run gutsy as hell but can't see it staying

Best Solution - Top 2400m horse and specialist at that distance given its had its last like dozen runs over the trip but HUGE doubts on it running 2 miles and has to carry 57.5kg around to find out. Big unders in the market and will be leaving out

Toughed it out well in the Caulfield Cup when challenged, but I just think they've found him at the weights.

Some distance query as well, I have him more of a 5th-10th runner.

Very similar profile to JV last year (2nd) although doesn't look to have the same turn of foot and probably has similar distance queries. I can see him finishing top 5 without ever looking like winning and he rounds out my top 5 in 5th.

Backed him at Caulfield so will be semi pissed if he wins

Cliffs of Moher - Has never won beyond 2000m so distance has to be some query but is by Galileo and comes in as a similar but better profile to a horse like Johannes Vermeer. Its got form around the best middle distance horses in Europe like Roaring Lion, Saxon Warrior, Crystal Ocean and it beat Yucatan earlier in the year.

Has to carry a decent weight and needs to run the trip hut has a class edge on most. Looks overs in the market to me and will be going in everything

Won't stay.

I thought he was disappointing late in the Caulfield Cup, hasn't really run out the 2400m strongly ever and I can't him changing that here. Hardly pitched in at the weights either, I'm leaving him out of everything.
