Wow. Just wow.
When I went to find this after I saw your post, I couldn't have hoped for a better result.
There is actually no talent on that list.
?? hadn't heard that one.Jurrah to....
Ouch!!
Boomer Harvey - premiership player, captained his country, EJ Whitten medallist, All Australian, club captain
Adam Simpson - two time premiership player, club captain, All Australian.
Shannon Grant - premiership player, Norm Smith medallist, All Australian
Peter Bell - two time premiership player, All Australian, club captain
All four of those players have achieved more in football than every single Melbourne player since the 1960s.
Fact.
UNAVOIDABLE FACT.

If I can correct you on that point : Stan Alves did play in a premiership team in 1977.
(Of course, he had to go to a proper football club in order to do so).![]()

It pains me to do this to a fellow Dees supporter, but I'll have to introduce you to another midget Korean.HAHAHAAHHHA
A MIDGET KOREAN HAS WON A KANGAROO BEST AND FAIREST![]()
No, we stole Jurrah from Collingwoood.Jurrah to....
Ouch!!
So what you are really saying is that you needed a top player (Alves_ from another club (the Dee's) to help secure a Premiership for you .....That's Poor
Just like you flogs had to recruit a heap of 10 year players from other clubs to get you your first Premiership.......After 50 years of pathetic results.....That's Piss Poor
But you seem to be under the illusion that you are a superior club to the Dee's...................Don't Think so

Cool, we can all feel good about that.It pains me to do this to a fellow Dees supporter, but I'll have to introduce you to another midget Korean.

No, we stole Jurrah from Collingwoood.
No, what I am saying is that North in the '70s was a successful club, one that a great player like Alves wanted to join once he realised that Melbourne had degenerated into a social club for a bunch of port-swilling old-school-tie types who thought they had taken control of the club when they sacked that Norm Smith chap.
There is no shame for North in the fact taht we made good use of the 10-year rule back in 1974. Fact is, we were the only club that voted against it. Fact is, once it came in, we were smarter than every other club, and made use of the rule that was there. (A bit like Geelong did in recent years with the father-son rule).
You reckon '12>4' seals the argument? What if the 12 is something in the dim, dark past (pre-decimal currency, when grandad was a lad), while the 4 is something I have personally witnessed and enjoyed? Tell you what, it works for me.

Hey, Holland and Portugal were great imperial powers, back in the day.I'm happy that it works for you
Just that the record books say the opposite

Just making the point that, for all their great success 60 or whatever years ago, for the last 35 years or more, Melbourne has pretty much been a running joke. As a North supporter, I've enjoyed more success in my life time than any Dees fan under the age of 60. Therefore I find it both baffling and amusing when some of these trolls, who are probably too young to vote, start thumping their chests about the 'mighty' Dees.Have you run out of Football Logic?

Tell me, champ, how old are you?And ladies and gentlemen, that ends this thread.
Demons eight more flags than the laughable Kangawhos.
Goodnight North flogs.
Thanks for playing.

Tell me, champ, how old are you?
How many times have you actually seen the Dees win a game of football?
I'm not talking premierships now ; just home&away games.
C'mon, I'm guessing it won't take long to work it out.
Does it actually get to double figures?
Now THAT is laughable.
