We've 'only' won 4 flags. 2 of them in the AFL, not the VFL. And I was there to see the 2 VFL flags.

I haven't spent a lifetime following a club that celebrates mediocrity, safe in the knowledge that they were successful 50 or 60 years ago.

The incontrovertible fact is that since this competition has been held on some semblance of a level playing field, North have won 2 flags and Melbourne have won 3 spoons.

It's an amazing feat that the club has managed to survive at all.
