Just risk taking ratbag teenage behaviour albeit on the extreme side. The only way they'll still be doing this shit when they are older is if they get institutionalized from when they are young and never mature or if they are addicts in the midst of a 6 day ice bender.

They need jobs. Youth unemployment is a disgrace in this country. And I don't mean office jobs either. A lot of these kids are uneducated with low IQ's. They just need something to do to keep them occupied during the day.

It's highly unsatisfactory. I'm just unconvinced by the woe is me argument that thuggery, theft, general unsociable behaviour is attributable solely to lack of job opportunities. The reality is that most people in that terrible predicament don't resort to thuggery, theft and unsociable behaviour. There's more to it than that. Poor parenting being a significant one.

Nope. Far from it. I knew a lot of people like this growing up and know how things generally work out in the end for them. These guys for the most part are your next generation of high-vis workers.

Think citizens are dealt with by their country of origin for crimes committed in their homeland pretty much everywhere.
